If you pay attention to my word when I mentioned "General Jihad" then you know why I said it was born from time of Adam.
First of all Jihad is devided to many types. One small kind of Jihad is about phisycal fight with the enemy. The other aspects of Jihad is mostly about fight with the evil inside the human being, fighting with any negative energy or power which encourage the man to do wrong things. Jihad is an Arabic word and it means: struggling, trying hard, and also fighting. (fight is the figurative meaning of this word, is not actual meaning).
Anyways Jihad started from the time of first prophet, Jihad always has been an instruction for human being to fight with evil and improve the spiritual life.

I wish you would go and learn English, you seem to respond to my posts and make less sense than gworld.

What it sounds like is you think (again, like usual) that all U.S. citizens are Christian or that they are born Christian. That is like saying that if you were born in a garage you are a car. Not all Americans are Christian and not all Christians are Americans.

Many people here don't go to church and even some non-Christian do go to church, do you understand?

Hopefully no Christian is committing adultery, but I know that isn't true. But you probably think the pop tarts on the news that you watch are Christian because they are Americans.

How many muslim men are not committing adultery?

Christmas is a one day celebration of Christ's birth, now the holiday is mixed with a pagan holiday so everyone (most) Americans celebrate it to some degree, some pagans love their santa claus.

Adam talked with God, he failed and was kicked out of the garden. He struggled, but no jihad. mohamad can keep his jihads to himself, let that be a personal thing and keep the rest of the world out of it.

Adam doesn't believe in mohamad. mo is dead. died. muerta. nada. nothing. gone. out. game over.

I hope Mo is enjoying his eternal dust nap, buried in the sand somewhere in Saudi Arabia probably.

I'd like to ask one question, before 9/11, did you feel the same way about Muslims not being well integrated? IMHO, as a Muslim, living in Canada, before 9/11, nobody ever cared about what religion I am from, they treated me the same as other non-Muslims. But, after 9/11, people started to point out who's Muslim and who's not. This is good in one sense that the Muslim youth and Muslims in general are closer to their religion. But, as you point out, the Muslims are like a group on side and everyone on the other side. I believe this happened because of the emphasis the media puts on separating Muslims and others.

as i said earlier of course 9/11 exacerbated the problem, not only because the west started to see islam as a real threat in their own backyards, but also because many muslims after that started to become radicalised in response to the growing antagonism towards them.
the thing is i am not trying to demonise muslims here but to understand why there is so much fear where islam is concerned.

Why do we fear muslims so much?
Mainly because we have never learned to know them and they are strangers to us.

i disagree with that.. ever since the real birth of islam and the competition with the western world, there has always been propaganda and animosity

You are right. So there are two kinds of peaople who fear Muslims:
    1. Those who fear because they dont know them.
    2. Those who fear because they know them very well, so the answer that I have given before is for the second kind of people.

You are wrong, there is only one kind.

    1) Chickens who don't know anything and are scared of everything.

It was a time that Americans were not scared of anything, including 1000s of atomic missiles pointed toward them by Russians and now they are scared of everything including their own shadows.

That was a time when each side valued the life they had and pushing the button was the furthest thing from their minds as it would result in destruction of all. These days some of us are afraid of being in tall buildings lest airplanes be run into them killing thousands of people. So I guess there are chickens and roasted chickens.

You could at least try to look at the movies about how Americans wanted to prepare for Atomic attack in the cities or read about Cuban missile crisis before posting this.

Some of you or should I say many of you are afraid today because you have given up on a culture that raised people who could face difficulties and control his/her fear. There is a saying that braves only die once while cowards die hundred times. With so many Americans afraid of their own shadow, it seems they are dying 100 times a day.

I and most of the people I know is not afraid of muslims at all ....

It is interesting that mostly people who never ever had real war or not even encountered some crazy terrorist like you say fear them. People on the balkans for example who were under the muslim rule and had wars with them are not afraid of them. They even buy ice cream and some stuff they make from them :D Crazy world huh :)

I will be more afraid of people from Balkans, Russia, Finland or Iceland than people from Muslim countries, since they are crazy when they drink. :D

Couple of years ago, I was in Iceland and when I came out of this bar, I landed in the middle of this big fight where a group of drunk man, slashing each other with knifes. The next day, I tried to figure out what has caused it and nobody knew why or how it started and nobody cared. It seemed like a tradition to get drunk and fight. :)

The problem is not the media. The problem is radical Islam. Which threatens the entire world. If radical Christianity, or Radical Bhuddism threatened world peace you be looking at their faith through your eyebrows too.

The problem is that those who claim NOT to be radical muslims find it so difficult to condemn terrorism, murder in the name of their prophet, and allow for freedom of the press, and, yes, this includes cartoons about your prophet. The problem is that most muslims who claim not to be seem pretty darn radical to the rest of us. Why don't you guys make a real stand against Al Qaeda on a global basis. I think we'd all feel a lot more comfortable with muslims in general if you'd only take a stand against suicide bombers, et al.
