    They're a big company with a 5-year old support that doesn't even know the difference sites with www and w/o.

    they are only a big liar.

    in my opinion, they are not a trustable company.

    i have been using their service for last three weeks and they have suspended my account without any warning because of VERIFYING.

    they realise that there is an unverified user on their servers after 3 WEEKS.

    and they did not write anythink about i must verify my account on anywhere.

    there is nothink about verifying account on their web site but they want users to verify their account.

    how can i know that i must verify my account if they dont write it anywhere?:mad:

    Hmm... without any warning?! wth?! I've suspected their support from the start, I guess I should move to another host before that happens :|

    my account is created 17th september and my account was active until 10 hours before. i have closed my computer and i sleeped and when i wake up, my account was suspended and there are no warning . no phone , no email etc.

    they have suspended my account WITHOUT ANY WARNING.:mad: they did not moved my account to anywhere. they suspended

    they are only liar.

    the worsth side of this think is that they are saying that my account is not verified after 3 weeks.:mad:

    Hostgator is one of the best web hosts out there.

    Their support has always been ok with me and i'm with HG for years.

    Kidblogger, it doesn't make any sense what you'r saying. Tell us the difference between a site with www and without if you know better (as a 13 year old kid), maybe their support is not good for noobs (but tech support is generally not noob friendly in ANY company), but for more experienced users, it seems to work just fine.

    Trichnosis, you start with a simple question and go on with insults. You can't judge their hosting services, because sadly there was a screw up and your account has never been in good standing.

    Why don't you wait a bit? I''m sure they will promptly unsuspend your account if you are CLEAN.

    PS: i think you both told us one side of the story. On one hand, you have somebody not verified and on the other hand, a 13 year old 'know better'.

    Hey PalmIslands,

    I bet I can tell the diff with the two, but please don't take it literally. I've been asking their support for some tech difficulties and 2 out of 5 support doesn't even know what I'm talking about, but yes, they have some experienced support team.

    i have used their service from 17th september to today and nobody has asked me about verifying anythink. it's nearly 3 weeks and 3 weeks is long time for being unverified. dont you think?

    the web site (which is 2 years old an article site) and me are CLEAN.

    just a simple question:

    * if they dont write about vefiying to anywhere on their web site how can know that i must verify my account?

    * Dont you think that verifying must be used BEFORE account is created. i have used their service for 3 WEEKS.

    I'm with Hostgator.. for a year.
    And today my account has been suspended..

    I've just emailed their sales department.

    Edit:

    I got an answer:
    I replied with the question why my account had been suspended:

    Bullshit..
    I paid the last 9 montly invoices 4 days before their due date, and there's proof of that on their invoice server.

    They just suspend your account without any notice, and they don't even bother to apologize for the downtime..

    I will never recommend Hostgator again...

    I usally step away from website that have a type of "childish krokodile" layout,
    but hostgator is definitely great because of the following reasons:
    1. They are largest reseller of theplanet.com,
      which is #1 for dedicated server hosting, means that your shared hosting is also hosted at theplanet.com datacenter(s)
    2. Their shared hosting is based on cPanel (most used web admin software around.. best features, easy to understand)
    3. Compared to other shared hosts, i never noticed a downtime of the few sites i have with them yet and the pageload is fast.
    4. They offer additional dedicated IPs on request.
    I think mediatemple is also great for dedicated servers, but their Grid Service was slow as i tried them.

    I have used HG for years with only very minor problems - that were always quickly attended to.

    In my experience there are some live chat people who don't know a lot but most of their email support techs are great. Overall I have always had any small problem or question quickly dealt with.

    Based upon what I have personally seen with HG I would recommend them.

    trichnosis I believe something else was going on as It's never taken us a week to verify an account. What is your ticket number?

    kidblogger I'm willing to bet you can't provide a single ticket number where we weren't able to help you. Please do prove me wrong.

    theo-zzzz I guarantee you had a late payment at some point which ended with this result. We use modernbill which is a horrible billing system which is why we are currently in the process of creating our own. It sounds like you went past due and modernbill suspended your account. You then paid and it never turned you back on in billing resulting in your account being suspended on the server. If you could provide a ticket number I'd be happy to examine this.

    I've had ups and downs with them. Their support isn't the brightest out there. I am no longer a customer.

    i have mailled hostgator and talked the live support all day.

    they have solved my problem now and i must say that they were very kind while they are solving the problem.

    Their service is very great with a competitive price. I have never had problem with their technical support. My problem was a pre-sale think and it's solved now. because of this , i have started to use hostgator service again.

    and i will report this thread to close.

    @hostgator : if you like to know , i can send the ticket number with a pm.

    i was with there seohosting until last night.

    took 12 hours to give me ssh access even though they said it would only take a few mins..

    php libraries were broken, put 2 tickets in and didn't even receive a response its now 12 hours later. and still no "thanks for opening a ticket"

    spent numerous hours on phone and live help only to be told to send an email to support@ which never seems to get my any response..

    thanks hostgator. moving onto a vps as we speak.
