Did you access your account from a country or IP address which is different from the country you registered as ? Just fully comply with them and ask them what documentations they need to complete their investigation. Thank them for their concern.
First of all just check wether its realy paypal mail. I have been receiving manny such mails send by hackers. I used to come to know cos i even received those mails in my email id which is not at all a paypal id. Please dont log into paypal from any of the links in the mails. Securely log in to paypal from a different window and check your account if it is limited.
Just check your email again. If you have been addressed with your real name on file with PayPal in that email, the email is surely from the PayPal. And looking at the language it looks like it is a valid email from PayPal only. If this has been sent by some hackers you must have got some 3rd party link in the email but this is not here. So the conclusion is your a/c must be used by some other range of IPs & for your safety PayPal has limited it. Just click on resolve button & complete all pending verification process. You will surely get your a/c back.
This is actually a myth. I know paypal says its true but i know its not, from first-hand experience. Of course, I'd never follow a link in the email but was taken aback when I saw they had my real name even tho it was a spoof.

Logically impossible. Only PayPal can address you with your real name on file as they have your data. 3rd Party hackers may have only your email address not your name, so if you will get a spoofing email they can't address you with your real name. Hackers will usually address you like "Dear Customer" or "Dear User" never with your real name.
ok..i think its neds you to change the pass and security question..ok do dat..and also requires you to ad the cc..of yes..then i sell vcc for 5$..easy then..after all is done..call paypal..and say that u hav change ur isp..they will change the default ip.if u changed...(is ur ip dynamic or static?...dynamic ip face this problem..check if ur ip is changing everytime you connect .check here www.cmyip.com)
Paypal also banned my account on Dec. 9, 2006.. And they activate it agin last month just coz I asked them to either completely shut my a/c or I am alloowed to open new a/c... Next day they firstly just allowed me to withdraw my funds.. and then completely activate my a/c. You have got this problem coz might you have opened your a/c using proxy like me.. On December 9, 2006... I remember I installed a proxy changer in my system, And after Uninstalling it, After 2-3 days I entered in my PayPal A/c. I think, At that time, I think this proxy-changer leave some kind of traces in my comp, that make me third party at PayPal. You can verify your a/c to solve this problem.

As I personally heard some issue from paypal from one of my friend. Paypal limited your account not because you had accessed your account through another country or accessed by your friend or so...is because your account maybe using a VCC to verify it recently and you had received a sudden amount of fund to your paypal account which caught the paypal attention to limit your account for further clarification. Fund which is more than $500 USD to a new account which is verified using VCC will easily got limited for further clarification. This is no doubt as a security measure from paypal as told by my friend, he tested it and found this is the main reason. Just thought to share an experienced from a friend.
Yes. Using a VCC is not good for Paypal. But they should not allow accounts to be verified using VCCs. If wouldnt result to this kind of situations.
My friend the account has been suspended but stil you can get your money which is in the account . You need to wait 6 months in this state . Because Paypal's Terms are if your account is limited for 6 months then you can withdraw your money to US Bank Accounts .
i know a guy who can lift the limit, use him when you need the account, becuz he gonna charge you 100 usd for that (via egold or paypal)
