Just wondering if these sites are breaking any of the google policies especially in terms of the images and content? http://www.apartmentsluxuryhomes.com/sacramento-california.htm http://www.apartmentsluxuryhomes.com http://www.apartmentsandrentalhomes.com/raleigh-northcarolina.htm Any advice would be appreciated.
No i don't think they do at all. They are clearly separated and your visitor would have to be a moron to get tricked into clicking without wanting to end up where they do. The sites look good!
I just looked at the main pages, for the specific pages I am not as sure but I wouldn't think you did anything against the rules.
of course it is. You have pictures within some arbitrary distance of your ads. Look at it this way though, you'll get triple the CTR and Google will dump you for whatever reason they want. As long as your traffic is good you'll be fine. If it isn't you can follow all of the rules exactly and still get da boot.
"your visitor would have to be a moron to get tricked into clicking" LOL... that would be great, no moron visitors allowed! Of course who would click the ads then?
I completely overlooked how close they are to the pictures. Are these examples cause for banishment because of that?
yes, it is one of the excuses Google uses. They are inconsistent though. I've had some folks get banned with completely clean sites. Google's claim being invalid clicks. I know for a fact they did not click their ads. Then there are sites with images right next to the ads that have survived years in AS. It's all a gamble. I just checked and apparently Joel Comm has finally moved his ads away from his pictures. Though somehow he still has an adsense account.
Definitely, the content and the google ad should be vary by 100%. The user clicks the ad by expecting more details about the content that you provides. If the user found nothing related from the ad, then there will be no conversion for the advertiser, so that google says the ads should not be imitated unintentional clicks for the visitors and turns loss for advertisers...
Ooh, that's good! I can't say if it is or not, but I think that would get a pretty high CTR. However, it looks spam-ish and computer generated, and just one of a whole web of SEO spam: http://www.google.com/search?q="Welcome+home+to+*+Spacious+one"&btnG=Search I see even Yahoo! and an eBay site with similar boilerplate text, so if it gets too high a CTR I could see Google stamping on them.
