Too long, if you want it now....LOL

I hopped over to the G's newsgroups and I saw nothing that said there was a specific time frame for spidering.

    Good Luck,

I made my website in July 2005 and it wasn't until three weeks after I submitted my URL to them that my website appeared in search. It wasn't at all popular, I might add.

Joey, the more frequently a site is changed/altered/added to then the more frequently big G will return.

For example, a site that only changes say once every 2 years is not going to be visited probably more than once every 2 months.

A site that changes every day will attract G most likely every day or 2.

    Hope that helps.

you could not site back by submit your website only at google, Google likes to find your website from other website where you site get listed...

Solution would be submit your site to Directory.. and if could list your website in >PR3 page that within 7 days your website get listed.

    thanks

Directories are a good place to submit links to - as long as they are have good seo and are well maintained.

The test would be how often do they update a current news story - on the general search pages, rather than the News ones.

I was also wondering this - I found a few nice PR6 sites which I got backlinks from (visible to me currently when viewing the site), however I have yet to see any backlinks visible on the sitemaps and analyzers. I heard a rumor (fine a post or two on another forum) that it was possible to induce crawls with certain programs.

Does anyone have any experience with this? If so, I'd appreciate the info =)

    Thanks in advance.

For some blogs or forums, you have results on Google 30 minutes after the post...
But it is not for all blogs

    As I already said above:

If you don't believe me then test it yourself.

If you post on blogger, mysteriously search for your blog and it would show up instantly, for other sites though, there is no fixed trend, It is more dependent upon indexing algorithm (which is not public info :S .. i haven't been able to get much information on that), keyword density, links etc that would let google know that you exist and that your site has to be indexed. Funny analytics never show me how often did google bot visit my site, though raw logs haven't been able to give any trend for google during last 3 months for my sites... In short, not much info available on how long it would take to get indexed.

    Cheers
