20 spam e-mails a day is nothing compared to what I get in Yahoo. I have 3,551 e-mails in my inbox which are all spam, and 5,819 in my bulk folder. Yahoo is awful at catching spam. Just look at the messages that make it into my inbox:

Pleasure your partner beyond her wildest dreams jne
How BIG can I get? g
    ADD 3 INCHES IN LENGTH
First Eagle Cash Loans are a perfect solution
Pleasure your partner beyond her wildest dreams
    Free Starbucks $500 Gift Card

And thats only from the last few hours.

Gmail has been great to me regarding spam. You can add filters to automatically delete, forward, or archive e-mails with certain keywords. I have any e-mails with viagra, car loan, paid survey, etc. automatically deleted. All the iffy keywords get put into my folder "probably spam"

Don't worry someday gmail will be the King.

You don't know how much Gmail has helped people with there businesses.
I always have a Gmail window open, so I can reply fast to customers.

GMail is far better than Yahoo. I use GMail for my accounts now. I used to use Yahoo for "junk" accounts because it was easier to join, but now that GMail is open... there's no real reason to do that anymore.

I don't think how much spam you receive in Yahoo Vs. Gmail is a good measurement. There are way to many variables that determine the amount of spam you receive. In my opinion, Gmail has a much better spam filter than Yahoo does. Every now and then Yahoo tags a legitimate email as spam, where Gmail NEVER does (from my experience), and I rarely if ever get spam in my actual inbox.

    I have all 3 accounts.

Get spam in all three but really only use hotmail. I use msn so there hasn't been a reason to change over to gmail.

Another happy gmail user here. Although Yahoo offers unlimited space, I find Gmail easier to work with. It's probably email grouping that makes me like it more. It is so much easier to read through your messages when they are sticked together to let you browse easily through discussions.

I use Yahoo and Gmail myself as well but never tried hotmail through all the years...

I find Yahoo and Gmail almost similar but gmail tips the scale this round...

I think they'll become the market leader one day or the other. If today, at this moment, Gmail adds Folder option, I am sure Yahoo will feel the heat more than it ever dead. Gmail is a little different than conventional email services (Yahoo, Hotmail). I am sure that a LOT of people do not use Gmail as their primary address because of the folder issue.

Gmail is pretty popular with the web-savvy community...

Yahoo leads in Asia and a lot of other places.

I had a personal fight over the missing folder storage option at gmail but then got used to having all emails in one place. A bit messy but at least messages are grouped by sender.

Would be good if google revised this functionality though.
