Hi, Would someone mind taking a look at my blog and giving me some feedback, what i can do better etc. Its been up and running for about a year now and im averaging about 3500-3900 uniques per month. In Firefox on the left navigation their are bullets outside of the boxes. I don't like the text in the banner, nor the background really. Maybe try a complete new look, different fonts, different effects, etc.

Cheers thanks, i had to stretch the page a little. I guessed most people were 1280x1024, a few people have mentioned this in the past. I'll probably pay for a new template at some point in the future so its more fitting with the theme of the site. Thanks for the feedback. Paul
What jpg quality you use, most of them are more than 150K, better compress more but still in good resolution to make the size smaller
Hi. I love the subject! Hoping to head over to Alton Towers before the end of the month. I still haven't ridden Rita... I reckon you could spice this site up pretty easily - the thing that jumps out at me most, the thing I think is letting it down the most, is the textured grey background straight out of 1996. I think simply changing that background could work wonders. Anyway, good luck with it!
Hi, Most of the pictures are about 200k, you make a good point about reducing them slightly. ill do a few tests and see how they work out. my background from 1996 LMAO I see what you mean though, It should be a good time at Alton Towers this month as its scarefest so all manor of spooky things will be knocking about Cheers and thanks again for the feedback Paul
Hi, I think it is a pretty cool blog. Im sure you could probably get a better blog design, but overall good idea!
the banner seem far too "busy" in contrast wit the rest of the page. I would tone the banner down a bit and make the body a bit more interesting to look at.
While the theme of the content seems exciting and fun, the layout and colors are a bit boring. oh, and the pictures took a while to load.
I liked the theme of your weblog! I am writing the review for it before its being loaded fully ... I waited for more than 100-150 seconds I think... its slow... :x finally I gave up. (& for the first time visitor it's not a good thing.... :? ) Dear Paul, how about placing only first two posts/articles on the front page/ main page? Also there's no quick info regarding "what this site all about" Thats it. overall appearance is sweet
Cheers thanks ;-) Good point about the time it took to load, I work on a corporate WAN all day with a very fast web connection and at home I have a 20mb connection so i see it quick all the time. plus it will be cached. Its suddenly made me realise when you connect to the site you are probably downloading 1.5mb of images from that front page before you do anything else. I suppose a larger image in a post is acceptable and you are probably reading the post so the pictures load in the background - so to speak. Im going to get rid of blog rush too, its been a complete waste of time, especially finding anything relevant to my audience. As for the colours and layout, I might speak to a desginer about what they think going forward, im really bad with colours etc.. Thanks again all the comments are appreciated. Paul
Embed your ads within posts, you'll see a higher CTR. The blog theme feels a little dated, I'd go for something softer with less emphasis on grid-like 'sections'
