Best Inline Text ads for an Entertainment Site?

I have an entertainment news site and blog -- very fannish (sf fandom), no celebrity gossip. It's mostly media news, covering everything from anime to indy comics to horror and TV news and news about and editorials fandom itself.

Need recommendations for inline ads. Ads for things like DVDs and collectibles do very well, particularly from known vendors.

I've got adbrite on the site right now but it's not targeting very well at all.

Thundertext has an in-line ad product that you may like.

    Please give us a try.

    Cheers,

Have you tried Kontera. I've heard they are alright. I don't personally use them though, but they seem to be used by quite a few sites.

Kontera works quite well in my opinion. You do need a good chunk of search engine traffic from my experience. Regular visitors get banner blind to the Kontera ads quickly just like all the other ads running on my site.

I am running just over a $2.00 CPM average which is better than Google Adsense for my site though.

    Hello,

I'm from Kontera, we serve in-text ads that match a pages' topic and bring ads which are relevant to your users. Our ads work alongside and are non-competing with ads that you might already be using :)
Send me a link and I'll let you know whether Kontera ads are a good match for your site.

Hi Mika, I actually just signed up with Kontera and got an e-mail from Katherine this afternoon approving me.

    My domain's firefox.org. :)

(Obligatory disclaimer: No relation to Mozilla. I've owned the domain for almost a decade.)

Adbrite has a solution, but I don't suggest them, as the CPM is very poor. I tried Konterra, but it would not work on my site. Haven't worked with any others, but I am looking at my options.

Thanks! Looks like this may work out. Revenue is reasonable, given the site's traffic levels.

I am doing very bad with Kontera.
5,000 clicks + and only $149 earned. Thinking of entering another network :(

I guess it depends on your expectations. Kontera's delivering in the same general league as Adsense does on my site, which is to say, not much -- if you look at the site, it's not exactly a site that would be expected to earn a high ppc.

OTOH, it's money I wasn't making before. And Kontera's doing better than Adbrite.
