    I got links from a PR9 site will this in anyway help me ranking in Google? I currently have a PR of 3.

    if you have a direct link from the PR9 page, your website will have a PR8 or PR7 at the next update of the pagerank....if google wants it !;)

    When I was puting in the link on the site I noticed that it was being input with javascript but that page and the rest of the site had a pr of 9. Will the javascript make any difference?

    Look at the source of the page to see if your link is marked as NOFOLLOW.

    PR9 site will help your site PR to increase. Check that site if it is not using "nofollow" tag.

    It seems like you don't know too much about linking, so here's a little help.

    Go to the page your link is on and look at its source.

    If the link looks like this: 
    <a href="http://www.yoursite.com">Your Site</a>
    HTML:
    ... then it WILL help your PR.

    However, if the link looks like this: 
    <a href="http://www.yoursite.com" rel="nofollow">Your Site</a>
    HTML:
    ... then it WILL NOT help your PR.
