Every article is a keyword.. currently over 580 ... for instance bush.suckered.us is using bush as a keyword.. each subdomain gives the main domain authority so every sub gets authority in keyword searches from the combined effect. Every article has unique related content . We created dmoz.org.suckered.us .. We were front page in google for Dmoz.org within 4 hours of submitting.. Eva longoria sex tape, .. anything newsworthy.. A good trent to follow when we create is news from google trends.. Woodcs82 if you read all posts you'll see exactly how we've done it. Again the site concept was no accident.

    :)

Hi ... looking at your list of posting, I'd say you have a great shot at getting free air-time on radio talk shows. These shows run 24/7, have loyal listeners and, from experience, know that visits spike in 12-18 hours after appearance on a show. The shows are used to giving the url often and clearly.

I did 15 minutes on a station, with Ed McMahon. We talk about Johnny Carson. My website was pushing a Johnny Carson bio, with audio. In 24 hours, had about 465,000 page views -- not just Carson page -- and 55,000+ uniques. Cost to me, 15 minutes of pleasant chat with Ed. Got a few other anecdotes, such as this, but not as dramatic.

Find a list of radio talk shows. There are several list roaming the web. I just can't think of one now. Check radio talk magazine site; google it. Build up a list of show e-mails or station e-mails, gathered from station sites.

Find some buzz to jump on, you've lots of choices. Jump on buzz, one at at time, don't overwhelm or confuse.

Do an e-Release, pushing your buzz, your availability 24/7 and make contact easy, easy, easy.

After a few shows, you'll get the hang of it. Remember to talk a lot about each question asked, and drop the site name, often.

Do a half decent job and stations will start calling you to find out what's what. It's a tight community, with lots of source sharing, as long as it doesn't effect local competition. These shows are highly competitive and quid pro quo is part of their game -- no money to spend on guests.

    Should help a lot.

    Good luck.

You're not on the front page for Dmoz.org.

I also would recommend against changing to a purple website layout unless your target audience is female (which I doubt).

It was on the front page for 5 days.. I'm sure they've made enough links since then to push it down :)

Awesome! .. Could you have possibly the time to send me a pm with more info on this? Thanks for taking the time for such a detailed helpful reply.

You need real exposure as opposed to PR?

PR will come with time, so I agree with that statement to some extent.

For the rest, I've written 2 eBooks that you simply must see that debunk some of the myths floating around out there.
Real methods for real (TARGETED) traffic.

The site is coming along I see.
The Alexa widget is not showing your rank for me, but my toolbar shows one of 116,836. Just wanted to let you know. :)

There's more about DMOZ out there.. Trust me they're selling links via one of the major freelance sites now!

:) Thanks .. Apparantly everyone is having widget issues with Alexa :)

IF anyone here has some free time perhaps they could review this thread as well?

You realize the stats on your site (awstats) show visits not uniques, and also bots and other stuff like even hotlinking is counted. Slap google analytics up for true uniques.

Analytics displays both hits and uniques. The largest figure is hits. I have 400,000 hits from 10,000 uniques.

Yes and last month we pulled 1 million uniques , 20,000,000 pageviews AND

    a whopping 32,264,581 hits :)

We're going to easily beat this for October :)

Jab We use three different statistics including analytics. Our figures are definate and uniques.
Bots / etc are counted seperately.
