So, you are saying that you are better then the new editors? By that logic, it's no wonder you think the meta community is infallible. They were there before you...

Where you do get I think it serves no one? I keep saying that webmasters ARE the average surfer that uses the directory...you are the one that keeps saying otherwise.

As for whether or not you are a girl, I have decided that you are female because you do not have the balls to give you name. You also didn't seemingly have the balls to stand up when innocent editors like Annie were fired (doubt me, check her edit history yourself and find the favoritism yourself). The only thing you have the balls for is to get your frustrations out hiding behind a false name on a board filled with people you really dislike.

    _______________

A NOTE TO ALL NEW EDITORS:
I was an editor for several months actually, and in the first several weeks, the help files were off-line due to the crash. In fact, many of the options were off-line due to the crash. As more files came online to read, the more I read...and in that time I talked to several editors. It should be NO SURPRISE that the mentality of Anonymously was, for the better part, how I was treated my entire time within the ODP.

My advice to anyone new to being an editor is "shut up and edit" which was the advice a meta once gave to me.

But even then, always remember, someone will always have a bigger post count...because at DMOZ size does matter.

That is an extremely offensive, sexist post, Q, well above your usual offensive standards. How you dare to drag Annie into that post I do not know, when you have hurled such an insult at women.

As I remain anonymous have you any clue what I did about Annie, but for your benefit, I will reiterate a post I made earlier.
"I respected Annie as an editor and I respect the way she has said little about her exit from ODP, and how you all therefore feel free to drag her into so many posts when this is not your story is beyond me. End of conversation on that subject". (that may not be quite an exact quote, I have not looked it up, but carries the meaning and my meaning now).

Yeah, yeah... when they came for your neighbor you silently disagreed. I remember your posts about it well. I imagine that as she had an account here, as well as there and that is one of the contributing factors of her getting let go it's likely no wonder you remain hidden behind your username.

And what ever it was you supposedly did, it certainly was not enough....nothing was changed. It's kind of sad that the only person that questioned her removal was some "troll from Digital Point" it's also kind of sad that the majority backed up the allegations of the meta community. It's even worse that they could be next and simply can not see that. yeah, what I did may not have worked out all that well either...but honestly, what did you do? Now what are you doing about? According to your reply to me you are remaining silent... yeah, that's standing up!

Respect must be earned, and remaining in silence is not the "just" thing to do, as there has been a great injustice! So go on, stay hidden behind your username, and give all the respect you want to Annie...just know, that your silence, while a sign of respect, has done nothing for her, and is doing nothing for the next innocent person that is let go.

    Come on MAN, stand up!

And I'm not just talking about standing up to the trolls here, lol... stand up for what is right and wrong within your "best" directory. You've admitted there are flaws, now help polish off that tarnish, and help mend those places that are broken...and start with the system that can ensure you remain a part of the directory. Help fix the loop holes that can get fantastic editors like Annie fired...

Ok, your site could be listed in dmoz ANYTIME between now and the next 3 years.

Or, your site could be not listed at all.

Now would you have gained or lost anything?

Dmoz totally depend on editors and it depends only on that editor if they accept or rejects .sometime it may even take 4-6 months to show in dmoz

Heck Ivan, at least now you're honest about why you're constantly here in a forum about Dmoz. :)

Others with the same agenda keep trying to claim more altruistic reasons.

I'm alway honest - I'm evil genius who wants to take over the World (it is even written in my wiki profile) and proud of it! :p

Nah, good old fashion revenge, Chuck Norris - Bruce Lee - Arnold etc. style. so once I discover secret meta underground island base from where they are planing their evil plans I'm going to nuke it!

The same can be said about those who defend DMOZ and corruption because they like to "volunteer" and "help" the humanity by editing in DMOZ. :D

I know, I know, It is because of your "altruistic" reasons that you have to be in so many forums and defend DMOZ.:D

Oddly enough, true. What, you thought I did it to qualify for the expanded dmoz dental plan?

There is always that remote possibility that some of us go into various fora simply to ferret out problems (as in the adult forum previously referenced), to answer occasional posts where someone shows up with a question instead of an ax to grind, or to counter silliness about rampant corruption.

Granted, there are some can't accept that idea because they themselves never make a move on similar motives, but I seriously doubt even those here who have problems with ODP will universally agree with you that I'm here on some mission to protect my wallet. Not everyone here is so jaded, and those who are don't have an opinion that's going to concern me anyway, so moot point. :)

That is what I said, you are here because of "altruistic" reasons. There are many people who do things for "altruistic" reasons, one of them just sold me the Brooklyn bridge for $500 dollars because he said that he wanted to help me and he was so nice that he offered if I just pay me $500 more, I can have the Statue of Liberty too. :D :D
