i think that google deserves really best points for good quality work, its very cute in search, but there is some problem , google finding too many pages i mean 1,2,3,4,5, and so on... and what if the result of my requesting word is placed on 11th page, but i dont know where it must be,what should i do clicking each of them? thats inconvinient a lil bit... how do you think?
Adrian, Google constantly improves their Search engine rankings based on feedback. This feedback can come in multiple ways. 1) Google bot reading the page 2) number of backlinks to the page 3) exact anchor text backlinks 4) User behavior on the page 5) keyword density of the page 7) keyword relation to the page 8) CTR of the page in SERP and many more. If the page appears on page 11, thats way too off to be related to you or you might not be searching for the right keyword.
I think you should learn how to input proper queries in search engine, to get results on the first page. It depends of you only.
yes. it is the best. I always use google. Sometimes I use live as it is the default SE in my browser.
Currently google is the best search engine, even though it has its short comings. Its also the fastest to index new pages and sites which in a way ensures you get the latest info on things you are searching for.
good answer but what about if you need to search in different language...? you may dont know the grammatics etc...
Google is the best judging from the number of people using it and they have the largest market share.
I really don't think the quality of Google search results is very good anymore. I usually use Ask.com or MSN now for most of my searches. Google's results have become too spammy or useless, due to their stupid crusades against legitimate links that they have a problem with.
I dont use any other one.. Google has well over 50% of market share also... But they're getting a bit big for their boots too!
My experience has been the direct opposite. I use google all day every day and the only time I've ever had problems easily locating information is when I am searching for something very obscure. "useless" results? - not by a longshot.
Google is popular and most users prefer google. In fact, the link below explains which search engine is frequently used. http://www.ccels.cf.ac.uk/archives/other/faster/searcheng.html Another chart for this link. http://www.searchengineshowdown.com/statistics/size.shtml
Google is definitely the leader but I like using DogPile.com because it searches Google, Yahoo and MSN at the same time...so I feel like I get better results.
anything and everything that pops into my head. I probably google 100+ things on a slow a day, on every topic imaginable. I am usually quite satisfied with the results.
I'm not sure if they got the best search engine, but they know how to promote their products no doubt about that.
I have to agree with fast. There was a news article that was posted in a local online newspaper in my state (hawaii), and google had it indexed in about 15 minutes. Yahoo never got the original news article (the breaking news version), but had the revised detailed article after it was posted a short while later.
google was the best search engine and its search quality is decreasing day by day. the paid links algo. change was the most stupid decide made bt matt cutts
