although vista is nice, but I prefer XP.
There is alot of things vista can't support, and most of the people are using XP now, if the documents save in microsoft 2007, then others computer is hard to support for the use.

Nope. If you have word '97 or 2003 you can install the update for compatibility. I know cause I use both Office 2007 and office 2003. And it does not have any compatibility problems.

Nero 7. It was basically developed for Vista. (Very evident with the side bar app that comes along with it.)

I have to say XP has one thing that I wish Vista had. With XP I gave more business to Symantec:D

On the Windows side I stopped using commercial brands like Symantec and McAfee for antiviruses way long ago. I prefer AVG Free, it works very well and fast.

To tell you that Vista is better then XP in virus. Remember when Symantech and McAfee found out about the new security features in Vista. They all cried foul and said Microsoft was putting them out of business. They hate the new OS because its less money to them......at least for now.

I think you are referring to the 64bits version of Vista only.

Please listen to this podcast Security Now #66 dated November 17, 2006

I only got a few moments on vista with a buddies pc I like the look and didn't have any problems when i used it but i don't like that I am soon going to have to upgrade to vista because of gaming and other video updates their doing that will only work with vista. I am kinda partial to xp, but it's probably cause I'm used to it.

    XP.

Vista is nothing more then a XP MOD.. it uses more memory etc WHICH MEANS: its slower!!
also instead of clicking 2 times.. you got to click 20 times to get the same info... and not forgetting you got to w8 for the grafix to load.....
