Just a question out of curiousity. All those who own myspace layout sites, where do you get your layouts from. I've been working with a guy who owns a pretty huge layout site.. i've been designing and coding roughly 35 layouts for him a week. sometimes more and sometimes less. so just throwing it out.. as a person trying to make due. if anyone needs unique layouts designed for there layout site for a reasonable price feel free to PM me. slightly desperate in the search for new work..
www.myspacepros.com is where all the MSRS webmasters hang out and also where we purchase layouts/other content.
i'm registered there.. seems like a tight knit thing to get into being able to sell content. like people already have a set idk group of people who they get stuff from and newbies have a hard time being accepted..
Nah, I have found that the people there are generally very friendly to new people who contribute. The best way to get into the "tight knit group" is to present quality content. I promise people will respond favorably.
i've done layouts for codestogo.com and ultimatemyspace. the latter for about 6 months now. pretty good user response in terms of people who use them. just trying to broaden my reach i guess. and branch out into doing what i truly enjoy with graphic design like logos and all that
I don't think it's like that at all. If people like your work, they will buy. It's that simple. It's quite obvious who makes the garbage graphics for a quick buck and who's actually a good designer.
that is true. i havent really tried selling layouts on that site. but in general it seems those who make garbage graphics seem to be the ones who rake up some pretty decent paying jobs. and those who take the time out have it the hardest. maybe there is something i'm not doing quite right in terms of marketing
