What the hell is happening? Smartpriced? same # clicks as usual, but $30 less per day? This has been happening since around the 20th of sept. anyone having the same problems?

BTW, no, The sites are not the ones in my sigs that are being affected. They are other automotive sites.

No, same traffic, same number of impressions, same clicks. On one of the sites, I got 35 clicks for a total of $1.29, normally I make 20+ for that.

I think there's been an overall decline in revenue. I've noticed this with domain parking as well. Really sucks right now.

Same here on different niche. This week has been horrible. Same traffic, same clicks, 1/3 revenue. What I have seen is a lot of (crappy) repeated ads over and over, especially for non US target.

I have seen an 80% constant revenue drop since May - June with adsense, even if my traffic remained mainly the same, or even grew up just a little bit and now I am at 50% of what I was making last year.
There has definitely been an overall decline in revenue. Let's hope it will get better soon.

From Feb. to May my normal monthly went down about 200. summer is normally a strong season for my sites. Then about the middle of last month. the barrel dropped out and I've seen a huge decrease in adsense income.

Down about 400 more last month. Now since the 25th of last month I'm down so far, it is crazy. Same impressions, clicks as Back in feb. But a huge reduction in amount per click. I've spoke with at least 20 other adsense publishers who say they are having the same problems.

Is this the final days of adsense or some sinister thing at work? Has there just become so many adsense publishers, there isn't enough money to go round? Or is it just that I've been smartpriced for some reason? Has google opened up a new HUGE account that may have affected us?

Did you notice what ads were running before? Are they the same? You may have had one good advertiser change his campaign.

I have some niches that go up and down, for a while it seemed to kick up mid month other times it would drop late in the month (maybe a budget ran out). If you are dependent on a narrow niche with few quality advertiser, you will see fluctuations. Diversify as much as you can.

Same here for a different niche site.

    Same traffic
    Same # of clicks
    BUT
    Less $$$

It is smart-pricing in effect. It is as frustrating as anything.

    P.S

Couldn't help but appreciating this "Diversify as much as you can."

Sounds like smart pricing to me. Try filtering out ads that look like they could be MFA.

Aren't the new car models coming out now? Probably dealers are changing their ad campaigns moving to higher traffic sites.

So maybe it's not all my fault that it's so hard to increase my current Adsense revenue?

I saw a similar effect from about the 10th Sept to the 26ths Sept.

My rev dropped from about $25/day down to $12/day and now it has bounced back. Same traffic, same number of impressions, same number of clicks. just less revenue. Just wait it out!

What I did notice was that a particular advert that used to appear all the time on my site dissapeared around this time - and that 1 advertiser was a pretty good source of income for my site. Since it jumped back up again, I have noticed that there is a fairly consistent advert on my site - so someone else has decided that my niche is worth advertising in.

My are as diversified as auto sites, town sites, funeral sites, forums, lifestyle, and several others. I'm seeing a reduction across the board, not just one niche. Adds are fairly the same type. I even blocked some more MFA sites but didn't make any difference. Something is just not right.
