Someone please help me b4 i jump off my roof.. i'm getting more than 10,000 uniques from a university website. I put just 2 ads on every page on the website, but i do not get any clicks. I really dont understand, is it that students dont like clicking on ads, or is my placement bad? uottawa . net
You might give Adbrite a try. They do pay per impression ads, so you're gonna get paid even if no one clicks the ads. Also not all traffic means clicking, some people just scan over the page and close the windows. You might want to do something to highlight the ad a bit.
there are more than 50,000 students in the university, that's where i get most of the traffic from (type-in)
I don't think Adsense is right for your site. Based on the current layout, I think you'd have a generally low CTR for any CPC program. Try applying for a CPM network, which pay per impressions instead of clicks.
i know..there has to be something wrong..i contacted google but they assured me that all the ads are working fine.. some people advised that i switch to bidvertiser or adbrite...but google pays more and i heard it's more secure...what do u think.. well i'm giving google a week more, if nothing changes i mite move to adbrite since i'll get paid alot for my traffic
really? according to my stats most visitors watch the videos on the website instead of navigating away from the site...the videos are related to the university though.. or maybe students are scared of clicking thinking they would bring trojans/viruses??
No. I'm saying that there is a lot of Youtube video distraction. Your ads are blended. Hint: Don't blend! Obviously blending is not working with your site. Also, to go a bit further, multiple color palettes. Try that for AT LEAST 1-2 days. See how that works. Also, make one an image ad only... .
Then you must have paranoid students in the school, then they are thinking it will bring Trojans and viruses.
i'm relatively new to adsense, but i thought image ads dont pay alot @ all i think ill try changing the color palettes
kid I'm SEO expert and I have analysed your site and traffic paterns as much as i can. The problem you are not getting any clicks is due to ads size and placement. I suggest you remove the current ad zones; put a new table/menu(call it whatever you want) on the top left side on your site, then put a 120x600 ad zone there. You can add two 60x180 ad zones between the videos you are posting. I also suggest that you highlight the borders of your ads so they are more visible!
