I have listings on Jayde, and I have some spam mails from them, but only from time to time, maybe 2 per month. It looks like they make some changes there. My advice is gmail mail account. There is a lot of spam automatically filtered.
When I receive spam, I only press Report Spam button. It is necessary to do it more times for next mails, but later is mail automatically send to spam folder. It looks like for me, if more users report mail as spam, and this mail receive more "bad" points, it is marked as spam for every receiver with gmail account. I like this feature, because it saves me a lot of time.

I notice that a lot of directory confirmation emails are tagged as spam, even when they are legitimate and I'm expecting them. I think this is because some spam filters look at the text of the emails, and most directory confirmation text is very similar; this is tagged as spam because a small handful of directory networks abuse email.

We're really only talking about 4 or 5 organisations which ruin things for everyone else, and most frequently it is opt-in, so not technically spam at all.

Lol, have you tried to unsubscribe from their network? Give it a try ;)

And for the value of email, it can be provide value to you. what about me? I don't think they are offering any good value for me, I want to unsubscribe from their network and I did a lot time. Still getting their valuable emails

I have posted about this in my blog few days ago, take a look there if you want :)

Since it is bumped, despite being an older thread, I feel obliged to post.

This has been a contentious issue with this directory for a long time, so I decided to leave the old email address I use for submissions on autopilot and see what I could find.

The following are the newsletters that auto-opt-in when submitting to Jayde:

    DevWebPro has the address
    MarketingNewz has the address
    SearchNewz has the address
Small Business Directory Network has the address
    WebProAsp has the address
    WebProNews has the address
    WindowsDailyNews has the address

This is in addition to the address that sends the Jayde listing confirmation.

NB: There may be more, this is just what I received in the last fortnight and it constitutes about 60% of the email received at that address.

The other major spam to that address over the fortnight period is from Majon International.

Solution-wise, I can only repeat the sentiments of the seasoned posters in this thread who suggest to use a "throwaway" email address when submitting to directories.

Edit: Oh, almost forgot. If you use the same email address and submit more than one site to Jayde you will end up with a multiple opt-in. Which you will realise when you receive several copies of the same email.

    Jayde is extremely annoying
I last submitted something there like 2 years ago and still get their emails like every couple weeks.
I have no idea what they want as I just delete them every time

I go a similar way when submitting to search engines. I use and usually this address gets spammed quickly. I think it's not just Jayde who's doing that dirty business...

But Webpronews have good articles on SEO. I used to dismiss their emails as SPAM, but they turned out to be good read.

Subscribing to Jayde on its own is bad enough, but be wary when subscribing to one of those “we submit your site to hundreds of search engines” sites. They’re handy, no doubt and save me the hassle of subscribing to all the smaller search engines and directories (AAARRRGGHHHHH!!!!)
whilst letting me concentrate my efforts on the Big Three.
It also means that I can then concentrate on generating quality links from specialised sites to my clients rather than tediously submitting to directory after directory after directory.

Before you do that though you better make sure you got a special sacrificial lamb email address. What I like to do is create a “spamtotheslaughter@domain-name.com” email (many search engines and directories won’t allow you to use generic addresses like yahoo/gmail etc. ) and just let the crap flood in there. It’s actually a pity because some of the newsletters I get are pretty handy and often have some handy hints and tips and links to free SEO tools that are quite handy but then for every useful tip there's usually half a dozen dodgy emails too. Y’know the sort of marketing more suited to work-from-home pyramid schemes and all these would-be internet "gurus"
offering me thousands of leads and the opportunity to make millions of dollars yet can’t seem to be able to afford to make their graphics in anything better than MSPaint.

From what I can see Jayde are indeed spamming, though no more than any of their immediate competitors and as I said I always designate a sacrificial spam address anyway so it doesn’t really bother me. Thing is, having used bulk submission, I can’t really see which companies are responsible for the various spam streams I’ve got coming and I'd be interested to see which spam comes from Jayde and which doesn't.

It doesn't stop there there is a very high chance they didn't even list your site. But they will continue to send you spam emails "Jayde Listing Notes" long after. Jayde is a big waste of time i won't ever read their spam mails.
