Thank you, rubeina. I'll rep you as soon as the system allows. I think I have the nofollows removed now.
Watch out for the human spammers. You will get more comments thats for sure and most will be simple one sentences like " Great post". Most of them do not add value. Will be installing Lucias Link Love plugin where you can set the number of times a commenter has to comment before they have the nofollow removed. I could tell I am getting a lot of drive by comments from visitors who will never return. People are finding those do follow blogrolls and just going through the list by putting these easy comments... The do follow party is almost over. If you look on these lists most of them are low PR and or just starting... The good blogs do not need to share the link love. Concentrate on good posts and people will link to you naturally...
Askimet considers comments that small spam so that won't be a problem. There will always be a negative side to the story but I still think it's the right thing to do.
I do like the sound of that, but I think I'll wait until the spam becomes a problem. Right now, I don't have enough traffic to generate spam that I can not control manually.
Well I've been using the do follow attribute for a few days now and haven't had a problem yet. I know perfectly well that many people will leave a comment on my blog just to get some PR but who really cares. The internet is a great place and sharing is its most noteworthy quality.
