Answering Machines - you like them or hate them??

I am one of those people that hate when people ring and never leave a message, they wait for a two second pause before they decide to hang up...
Which means the machine is full of beeps and no message

Do you hang up - have a phobia of leaving messages

Leave a message - like any normal person does...

 

I dislike answering machines not because they're annoying but I just don't like leaving messages and waiting for a response, I rather call back later when they're available

 

i don't talk to answering machines! calling some time later is a better idea!

 

I always leave a message so as not to waste my call....60% of the time, it pays in the end

I also use them myself as a buffer from telemarketers...

 

I have a mild phobia of leaving messages, I normally hang up, but will leave a message if really important.

 

I dont know anyone with them so i cant give comment.

 

Aha, I'm sure you can't avoid telemarketers completely do they leave advertisements in your answering machine? I wouldn't be surprised!

 

Use them, they save time!

Yea telemarketers are another pet hate , I have got to the point of asking them to hold for one sec then i leave the phone and go back five minutes later

Needless to say they are not there!

I generate a beep...and hang up!!

 

With phone technology able to keep a phone number no need to leave a message, they can return your call when they check to see who called.

 

I use the PC as an answering machine. Just checking the kb's to know if someone talked

 

I leave a message but hate when people don't or wait before they hang up and you get background noises and then I am left trying to decide who was ringing.
Usually one of the grandkids , depends on the talking or the screaming in the background i can tell who it was. lol

 

I don't like leaving messages. I'm not good at verbal communication, so my mind goes blank or I get tongue tied when I have to leave them.

 

CallerID + answering machine. If they dont leave a message, I call them back anyway.

 

I don't really care if someone doesn't leave a message, (I don't like to either)

But on the other hand... My mom FREAKS out when someone doesn't leave a message, she gets angry... and I get scared :\

 

When I call up my best friend and when he does not answer I like to play songs like -touch myself-, -I'm sexy-, etc. on the machine and fill up the tape. That pisses him off

 

What's your phone number, and when's da best time to make some calls with out leaving a message!!!

Best time to call? 2 AM so you can wake everyone up, and don't leave a message. Now THAT would be madness!

I love answering machines/voice mail! Often, if I am out, I'll use my cell to call home and leave myself a message! If I've scheduled an appointment or thought of something I need to do when I'm home, instead of writing it down, I call home and leave myself a reminder!
