They generally do overvalue their domain names and yes i think it should be less than 7k considering it has a - in the name
buydomains isn't really interested in what you think. Honestly. They are a domain parking company willing to sell any domain for crazy prices. Otherwise, they aren't interested and would rather see long term benefit from the domains.
Exactly, they have the ability to wait on their domain names until they find the end user which is willing to pay big bucks for that domain. Thats why they get away even after putting high values on their domain names.
Working here at BuyDomains / NameMedia, thought this was a great opportunity to jump into this thread. All of our names are priced using a wide variety of data points, including: 1. Comparable recent domain sales. 2. Current media climate. 3. Search volume and keyword advertising on related terms 4. Etc. If you are interested in the name, one of the best methods to discuss pricing would be with our Sales VP - Jason Miner. Jason can be reached at jminer at buydomains.com. He will be able to provide you a much greater understanding of our model, price points, and can work with you to see if this domain works for you - based on your goals/objectives. Good luck. David
I think their names are overpriced. They have such a huge portfolio they only need to sell a few names per month to be profitable.
Wait, does this mean the prices are negotiable? Let me know, I ignore BuyDomains due to the high prices, but if the prices are somewhat negotiable, that might get me back there to look around.
Each and every domain needs to be looked at in a different manner - meaning that it needs to be looked at on a case by case asis. Therefore, it is always worth the effort of speaking to someone in the sales department.
I think your prices are so high that there is no sense even to negotiate , no offence just my opinion
