I'm lost at the sign up to use the keyword tracker tool. It asks for a Google API key and the link fowards me to about a dozen Google API's. None of them give me any indication that they are used for keyword tracking. I'm quite lost at the moment any help please? Thanks.
hello? not to be rude, but there is literally no explanation about what key to use on the site, aside from a link that points to whole dozen of API's. Seeing how so many people are using this tool I figure someone should know about it? Can anyone please explain which one to use? Thanks...
Hi, I don't think this tool is supported anymore. Google discontinued the SOAP API. I'm trying out this one, we' ll see how it goes. http://sitening.com/seo-tools/serp-tracker
Google stopped issuing API keys after 5th Dec 2006, but existing key holders are not affected. Maybe you would like to purchase a key from someone who does not want it/wants to share it.
So what you're saying is that this tool is practically useless for anyone who found this site after Dec 5th 2006? This should be explained on the website itself or at the very least a sticky should be made about this issue in this forum. I'm not trying to be rude here, just being realistic since there's quite a few links all around the internet pointing to this great "tool" on this website making it seem like it's the only one out there. I found this website through SEOPapers.com Do people actually sell API keys? Does that mean that me and the other person would have to share and look at each other's data? How much do API keys go for? It doesn't sound to me like many people sell theirs. Seeing as it's been almost a year since google stopped issuing them out, one would think that they are very high in demand, yet I barely hear a peep about them from anyone in the forum here or on the website. I am going to go check out that serp-tracker website you sent me there amanamission, thanks and thanks to all who responded.
It is surely not a useless tool. You can still get Yahoo & MSN results without the API key. Most webmasters got the key before it was stopped. Also, do not blame DigitalPoint for it, blame Google, if you really wish to blame someone
