It doesn't mattaer very much what your PR is, just keep building backlinks and your search engine rankings and traffic will increase.
shure but i think create amount on new sites, link all of it for one (new too), and get PR1 stite only with own links, then link PR1 sites for one (PR1) and get PR2...
The better question would be, how many links would I need to rank for this "term". Pagerank has become meaningless, more so with the lack of updates.

Hey there, Where did those numbers come from? There are a lot more factors in page rank than just the number of incoming links, like how many outgoing links there are on the referring page. Thus, there really are not any solid numbers. Just keep building links. Sincerely, Travis Walters
Those numbers are made up, but in the right ballpark. PR 0 actually means a wide range of sites that could measure from 0 to 0.5. Its a continuous scale, not discrete.

last i read you need 7 PR's to get that PR, like 7 PR4's to get a PR4... not so sure tho... just search google for something called the PR table or along those lines... although toolbar PR isn't accurate my new site has a toolbar PR of 0 and its pg1 on google for its niche.

Not all PR 0 links are equal In addition to Page Rank also PR of linking domain/homepage makes difference. Inner page of authority site gives you pretty much trusted PR 0 link. Plus, as already mentioned, PR 0 may indicate PR 0,2 or PR 0,5 or PR 0,35 etc.
