    Not sure if this will help you, but here is many good ways of advertising your website, infact there are over 40 different ways where many of them are good. Infact many marketers use many of these different ways of advertising daily.

    Most of those tips are for marketing products. The article doesn't seem very professional since it repeats the same advice over and over, and a lot of it's easier then it sounds (like "Create a Firefox Extension").

    He is wanting to know how to market his funny video/photo site. I actually have the same question as well.

    I have never had joy with social bookmarking sites, I submit my articles, add a catchy description & tags but it just sits there, no one else diggs/stumbles it and it all seems like a waste of time.

    This may be a little off topic but I added the site to my "Recent Blog" and it isn't showing, it is a feedburner url which is what I had in there before and was working fine.

    The best way to market your site is through content: post REALLY good content and people will link / visit it naturally (link bait!)

    For many niches it is a waste of time, but for funny things Stumble is a pur godsend. If what you were promoting was "funny" and did not go anywhere, maybe your humor is just to refined for the masses?

    I also find that digg does not work all that well for humor...
