If you’re looking to make a quick $1000 by selling your site - here’s how to do it! There is a rule of thumb on the internet that a website will generally sell for ten times it’s monthly earnings. So if you want to sell your site for $1000, you’re going to need to make $100 per month from it. Sound hard? It’s not really that difficult and history has shown that it can be achieved by a site that receives just 100 hits per day. Here’s how you’ll make your thousand dollars: 1. Text link ads - You’re going to sell links from your site but instead of charging ridiculously high prices, you’re going to sell them for only $1 each. Sell ten of them. Money made: $10 2. 125×125 banner ads - You’re going to set up six of these ad spots and sell them for an unbelievably low $5 each. Money made: $30 3. PayPerPost - You’re almost guaranteed to make money with PayPerPost. It’s not a struggle to write two sponsored posts per week and most will earn you at least $5 per post. Money made: $40 4. 480×60 banner ad - Placed at the top of your site next to the header, this is a prime piece of advertising space and you’re going to guarantee it’s sale by selling it for just $10 per month. Money made: $10 5. Feed ads - With a regular posting schedule, ads in your feed will receive a lot of impressions. No doubt that you’ll be able to sell an ad in your feed for just $5 per month. Money made: $5 6. Site review - Whether it’s through ReviewMe, PayPerPost Direct or via your readers, selling a great review of a site for just $5 is a steal that will have advertisers running to your site. Money made: $5 GRAND TOTAL: $100 per month! Congratulations! You’ve just earned enough money that will see your site sell for $1000. Making money online is easy, isn’t it?
Knowledgeable webmasters that buy websites for 10x revenue don't do so based on 1 month of earnings. You need to show proof of sustaining these earnings over a few months. On the other hand, you may get some sucker who doesn't know what they are doing to buy it.
Selling lots of ad space for cheap is great if you can find actual buyers for it. TLA has a marketplace where you can get exposure, but how will you find buyers for most of the other ad spots?
Sure. I'm not saying you'll be able to do it after your first month, but do it for a couple and you'll make your money. What a crap comment! Maybe you'd like to explain why?
I really enjoyed your article. The only thing I think could be changed is the title/concept of it. Instead of having the concept be 'selling your site for $1000', it should be 'how to make $100/month for complete newbs'. Of course, this is assuming that the newbs in question have a somewhat active site that people will buy ad space off of. But it's a good article, good job!
ive sold a couple sites with 160 rev a month from aa and adsense in total for min 900usd. this is a great little blurb on how to make an easy 100 a month extra.
I really doubt you could sell a site based on this article's claims for $1,000. A lot of the criteria you list, such as $5 banners, means you actually have to find buyers. Which means, your site has to be already profitable or just not monetized. This also makes webpages extremely spam-like. No one likes to buy those sites. Like stated before, a better title would be "How to make $100 for newbs who happened to have a stroke of luck and have average traffic rankings". Although a condensed form of that would be nice
$100 a month is not "How To Make A Quick $1000 Online" $100 a month is a $1 hustle and not worth the time
Yeah I wanted more, the article was good because I kept reading and I wanted to continue reading, but I was hoping to find a better solution to making a quick $1000, this method isn't quick and will take months, you'd need to set up the site, then keep blogging, then find the sponsors and traffic. Also the PPP sites have minimum requirements for a submitted blog - age, number of posts, activity, etc. and I don't think I read the word Blog once.
The method you describe might work, but there are costs that you forgot to mention: -domain name -hosting -promotion That might lower your 100$ revenue
you site should be 3-6 month old and give stable revenue. if to work harder, then you can take $10 for each listing, and after 3-6 month get $1000 from your site.
Of course. As I wrote, it can be done a site with 100 hits a day. That's where your buyers come from - advertise on your own site! And of course you can sell the space through DP forums too. It's not hard to find buyers here.
i lie this posting its a great easy way to make some extra income. also try out some adwords etc for some extra traffic. check my sig for free vouchers.
Posting isn't a great way to make money, actually. Getting 10-30 cents a post is considered slave labor to some. I would recommend you get into content writing if you are looking for the big bucks .
l'm sure, many sites' owners know this rule. But it's easy to write same articles. l've never seen any easy busiiness. But i agree to give you the half of my income, if you can do all this with my site.
