This addresses a very fascinating issue: How does a public PR benefit Google? If it didn't serve their interest or profit margins to any significant degree that green bar I suspect would have disappeared a long while ago.

We also have to factor in the fact that webmasters are the only people who know what page rank is

So they can track the Webmasters & SEO's who have it enabled on the Google Toolbar and counter your sneaky moves. ;)

I am more concerned of getting more traffic to my site than PR.

It is not unusual for a site's PR to be bumped and exported out of sync with the regular exports.

-Yeah, definately no update for a few weeks. Just concentrate on building a good site that caters to the users experience. Nothing is more important.

It's been a long wait, some are getting desperate. Maybe, just maybe, PR will be exported. What makes people nervous is the reported PR drops in some sites. Could it be that PR calculus is changing? In a way that makes the difference between - let's say a PR7 and a PR8 - more noticeable?

How soon would PR be exported?

The update is still a few weeks away. Just concentrate on building your sites for the human element and your rankings will follow.

Yeah a few. I actually heard they ran out of Pagerank, so they had to skim some off the top sites to pour back in to the tanks so the pumps don't burn out.

The time for PR update is already overdue so it must have probably started at some of the datacentres though I have not seen any changes anywhere. Just hoping for the best to happen.

Ran out of pagerank? I've never heard of anything so crazy, How on earth is that supposed to happen?

It is not like a bar running out of beer, it is not even a physical object! It is simply a figure calculated from the internal and external analysis of a website!!

This is making people go crazy, I wouldn't be suprised I start hearing that pagerank is determined by the position of the moon. :D
