Adbux wants to sue me :)

    Hey everyone,

For awhile now, I have had a post up on my site (ranked number 2 when you search "adbux") that explains that Adbux is a scam. You can read the article at http://www.mrgpt.com/questions/is-adbux-a-scam-netbux-make-money/ .

Today, I got an email from one of the silly owners of Adbux. This is what they sent me:

Is this defamation, libel, and slander law? There is truth behind my post, it's not just lies. It's proven statements.

If it's true and can be proven, your good.

    If not, remove it.

    Done.

    Thanks guys!
More opinions are appreciated, but for now I'll just ignore his email.

I'm not going to listen to his threats. As it said in the link he sent me:

Let them sue. The only shaky ground in your article is the inference that because Netbux has some of the same people involved, that both are a scam. However, since you can support your statement, it is a legitimate inference and I think no lawsuit would be successful.
There are, however, other strategies they could use, and you should be prepared for these, such as complaints to your host. Some hosts may not share your courage.
On the whole, however, free speech and consumer rights outweigh the need of a middling dot-com to suppress scam reports. You'd win any lawsuit and they know this.
If I were you, I'd follow up with a made for Digg article about adbux's litigiousness and desperation to stifle dissent. Show them that the PR mess is just getting worse.
I'd watch out on using the word "scam" however. It is very subjective and subject to interpretation. You may have some trouble over that one word alone, so you may wish to consider changing it to a more objective synonym.
I'm not sure you've proven it's a scam. ASKING if it's a scam in your title is just fine. But you should avoid settling the matter despite your opinion, because raising payouts and previous patterns are red flags...but until a lot of people get ripped off, it's just a guess.
This reminds me a little of Aleister Crowley's famous libel suits. He made a habit of suing his detractors, until one embarassing case, where the Judge dismissed Crowley's suit, suggesting that a man with such an infamous and nefarious reputation could not logically be libeled or slandered.
He stopped bringing libel suits after that, although he suffered them for the rest of his life.

Email them back, saying you have valid ground to prove your statements, and another further threatning messages will have them counter-sued for harrasment. You don't have to do it, but that'll get them to back off.

Also, make another post on your website and say how they are trying to shut you down for no certain reason. That'll generate some press for your cause.

Then talk to them about it, perhaps? Of course, it won't hurt to have a liar...I
mean lawyer, handy, especially one with real-world experience in this thing.

I wouldn't say its a scam. I actually used that site before but realised Its more of a waste of time. They only way you'll make any money is some other dozen poor saps (refferals)wasting their time clicking the available (and short lived) ads.
Better off making site and putting adsense on it or something then waste your itme with that crap. IMO

i placed bux.to on my scam list too after few of their members reported not getting paid by them. And when i see their forum to research on it, it was as their member said, slow response of admin, and no payment for a very long time.

so unless the administrator of adbux start paying those due payement, it will stay listed on my database.
