I've been looking at these two packages and wanted to make sure I was correct on their primary usage. From what I can tell, BANS is more 'one stop shop', in that it builds the complete store with some customization capabilities. phpBay is more of an integration script to add into a site that is either custom built, Wordpress powered, or some other means. Is that correct, in a nutshell? I have no issues with either approach mind you, just wanted to make sure I had that right?
I use and love both. I use BANS for new sites and can find a niche, register the domain and setup the site within 20 minutes. On the other hand I use phpBay to monetize both new and existing blogs. The setup is easy and usage couldn't be simpler.
I'm thinking of doing pretty much the same. I have a couple of WP sites now that I have AuctionAds on and I think I'll change them to use phpBay so I can more precisely pick the items. I also want to set up several stores that I will use BANS on. Both products look to well made. I'm looking forward to using each.
@ mac : have you considered making your own script using an RSS parser? If you know a little bit of php (or are willing to learn), you can create your own script using the eBay rss feed. It's actually a lot easier than it sounds.
If you’re using wordpress try omatic as RSS parser http://devthought.com/wp-o-matic-the-wordpress-rss-agreggator/
I've used BANS, and I have had success with it. I've never heard of the other one you are talking about.
I think Ebay RSS and ebay niche sites(Niche Money Site) is more easy usage on wordpress. The conversion rate also high. ebay niche sites easy to install and setup. within 10 minutes you can complete and promote your site
phpbay can be VERY easily setup to make it act like a store front. I've been using phpBay for almost a month and already I'm very pleased with it's performance.
Bans all the way for me. its the best converting product that i know of. youll make your money back easy and more. and once you start, you just cant stop lol. more sites = more money.
Many of my phpBay Pro customers are also owners of BANS. BANS is a great script and I continue to hear great things about it. They each serve different purposes.
BANS and phpBay both seem like promising options. I am actually launching a similar product in the coming weeks, so I have done extensive research on both products. BANS seems like a more complete package than phpBay. phpBay integrates into websites, which is a great.
One is good, two, maybe can complement each other, but three, isn't too much? In this forum i found 3 scripts like bans (including bans), and the code base to build scripts like that. Isn't that too much?
Without giving away too much information about my upcoming product, I would like to say that my script will create stores that will convert better than BANS and phpBay, or any other niche software. It's all about making more money and my script simply enough will make people more money. If my script were to be a cheap clone or imitation of BANS or phpBay, then yes three would be too many. My product is superior when it comes to conversion rates, so I feel there is definitely a place for it. I have a strong feeling this product will overtake BANS as the most popular niche store software in the coming months. Please do not send me any PMs regarding this product. It will be out soon enough and this isn't the right place to advertise. Thanks.
Thank you for your words sully, they're indeed great words about your product. I supose (just one question) that your script will have some "secret" to bring automatic target traffic to each store build with it, right (let's know just this one, please)?
That would be an amazing feat. Especially for not having purchased either product to make comparisons with.
jonixhonios, I do not want to give away too much information at this time. I will keep you posted though. Thanks for understanding. GTech, owning BANS and phpBay would be counterproductive to what we want to accomplish. We build this software with the sole purpose of creating a niche store script that converted better than the rest. We have done just that. I am by no means bashing any other niche store scripts. There are some great ones out there and this type of competition only creates better products. Good luck with your ventures.
