Recently i participated in a link exchange with a pr 6 site ... named abc (changed name) And when i checked the cached page ... the site was being cached on some other site url ... which just showed me that my links are not getting weight age .. Is this a new trick in seo ??? Should the webmaster of that site considered to be as a cheat ?? If you want a live example ill show you the site with which i had undergone this problem with... Where is the interesting question? Anyhow their pagerank is fake from a 301 redirect. Yes they are cheating you.
can you please tell me what is 301 redirect, and how they so is there any benefit to get link on this type of pages, Google penalize this type of website or not
What sweetfunny is saying is this guy probably redirected his entire domain to some high rank site like MSN.com or something. What happens is that the toolbar export will eventually reflect the rank of msn.com, then the person hosts it and it appears that he has a PR 8 site or whatever. But it gets fixed the next update... although considering Google's tardiness that could be 6 months from now LOL
