Amazing how many people are on the forums 24/7

My forums have thousands of users and there are always 15 - 30 people online but it never goes beyond that. If there are 30 regular users, if another 30 new members become regulars, the old 30 leave so I am always stuck on the same amount of members. It is like natural selection, old ones disappear, new ones take their place. I never understood how plain forums like this one have a billion people online all of the time. Ironically such large boards with no worries about dying soon have admins/mods that abuse their power which is the sad part about it.

might be why does oyur forum have that many regged users?
also, is there anything that would keep them there to continue posting?

 

Yeah there are a lot of things to keep them posting including online games that I have programmed myself that really keep them entertained. The ones who are regulars say that they love the site and even people without their own computer go to kinkos just to visit my site

With the popular forums, it doesn't matter how they look.

 

they have games to play, but any discussions that are invigorating? or advice being passed around?

 

I am online on the forum, around 10 hours a day, but i keep refreshing the page, and looking in certain sections for more work, whilst;

Completing some work.
Doing uni work.
Eating
Sleeping even!

I just love DP now..cannot imagine life without it. So guys don't get banned, It is really tough.

 

I also sit here refreshing the services section all day looking for jobs. Great forum keep posting.

 

I really liked the forum until I got banned for the first time in my internet life after posting on 30+ forums for over 10 years.

Why do you think it doesn't matter how the forum looks or how it carries it's brand just because it's successful ?

well, what exactly looks nice?
i think those forums look nice.

a lot of people can construe "looking nice" with clutter, which is a turn off!

 

you will have to think some innovative ideas to keep the forum thriving 24x7. come up with some contests and things like that

 

This is the first forum that I've rally gotten into. I think it has to do with the nature of the threads and posts. Not to mention the extremely welcoming community.

 

DP is just an addiction for me.

 

It's all about content. DP has a ton of content and ranks high for various keywords.

 

if im online 18hours, i'll keep this window open until im log out from computer

therefore, even im out somewhere for lunch or dinner..im still active..hehehe

 

DP has lots of interesting stuff to keep people comming back for more.
