any of you guys work out? man, keeping determination for that completely sucks! there are times when i go 3 months straight, and then times i just die out (i haven't gone in 2 weeks now!) i gotta get something to convince me to go to the gym more often.
having a partner really helps. having a hot partner who says she'll commit sexual acts on you if you reach a certain goal helps even more.
Both my wife and I work out on the gym and dumbells (well..I only started a few weeks ago). I am starting to tone up in the midrift and starting to bulk up a little up top. I used to be very fit 8 years ago. It's hard work when you lead a busy lifestyle.
Same here. First week you feel great. At the end of the month you look strong. Then after another month you get used to your new look and think you can take it easy a little. Then the 3rd month you feel wore out, your joints hurt, the weights feel heavy, etc. I usually quit then I get sick which happens every time I am sweating and in the cold. I used to workout every other day really hard when I was modelling though. It was the motivation to get paid to look good and having girls smile at you everywhere that kept me going.
lol. ice cream and work out. the perfect antithesis! of course finding a partner helps a lot in motivation, finding a female partner helps out a lot MORE too . never did do a workout with a female. would completely suck to keep unstacking and restacking weights and spotter? what spotter! maybe if i was just beginning and used light weights, or if i was going running, but it's not the same otherwise after i quit i usually die out for a month or two before i pick it up again. it's really a bad habit that i wonna kick - hoping to stay with it through. because my eating habits also relate to my workout habits workout -> eat healthy not working out -> (looks around) 4 bags of chips....
After a month you look strong? A month isn't enough time to do hardly any noticable differences, a little toning and that's about it. Sounds like you truthfully are not working out properly if after 3 months the weights feel heavy and your joints hurt.
im going to start my work out routine again next week..i was doing great with weights, aroebics and the such, but once you stop, its hard to start back
i'm planning on starting up again tomorrow, cause i want to hit it wednesdays(i have a gym in front of my class thats at 7pm, so i might as well hit the gym before class) otherwise, the other days i don't really feel like trekking half a mile to the gym. i just recently started working out + taking protein powder, seems to have helped build muscle (or atleast the look when i flex!)
