your absolutely right. around the 6th he said almost exactly the same thing. To be completely honest, I'm surprised he touched the question at all considering it was so off topic, Fair play to him, he could have just not published the question and no one would have even known it was asked

i wounder why google don't do it public when they gonna do next pr update.. that would be much easier for webmasters...
The PR export really doesn't matter to webmasters unless you are selling links or running a directory
at least its response! Almost. Its a LOT easier to generate natural reciprocal links with similar sites when you have a visible presence online (PR) and if its high enough, it actually does your link building for you! (i get 4-5 emails a day from sites asking to trade links because of the pr5)
There is some value to it But the fixation on toolbar pr is out of proportion to whatever little seo insight it provides
