Why can't I give away a free domain?

    I posted a free domain in the Freebies forum and I got the thread deleted and an infraction. :mad:


    It went something like this:
    Artronics USA.com
    Reg'd at Dynadot
    Expires: (date)
    FREE for the last person who posts before midnight


    Now I put the "last post until midnight" so it can be a little fun and not just a boring "first person to post wins".

    Can I post a "first post wins"?

    You might have wanted to define midnight, I'm on GMT+1 so my midnight is probably not the same as yours ;)

    What did the infraction say? You did allow people to post as many times as they wanted which the mods don't like.

    I'm not saying it helps you. Once again, if you're giving something away, just give it away. Don't ask for anything to be done. I think it's even in the description of that forum that only ABSOLUTELY free stuff can be posted there(excluding all the social bookmarking non sense in there, of course).

    Your thread was encouraging post padding which we don't allow here.

    You can give away a domain, just make different requirements. And if you don't like our rules, well....you know. ;)
