So I went to the Maui County Fair last night because my niece had a performance. As we were leaving it, I noticed my niece was staring at “The Swingsâ€, a ride. I thought she wanted to ride on it because it used to be her favourite ride. Turns out, an overweight guy was stuck in one of the swings and had to be pulled out by 5 of the workers. EVERYONE who had view of The Swings just stood there and watched. I felt so bad for the guy.
Omg... Poor guy. Everyone should have a chance to enjoy rides, for anyone who is even willing to think about saying that he shouldn't have went on. Some people just have it in their genetics, they can't do anything about it.
The workers shouldn't have let him on in the first place. That's what you get for letting teens have control of the rides.
Wow that must of been embarrasing - but to be honest, I probably would have cracked a cheeky grin if I saw that. But surely the guy must of been able to see the ride was too small?
Exactly what I was thinking... Don't carnies have to go through some kind of training? Atleast to understand weight and capacity limits... There's got to be some kind of safetly training...
Embarrassment doesn't last forever (in general) if the person has tough skin and can brush it off (easier said than done)
Shows mature how some adults can be Atleast it was just one person. That's was quite the serious scenario.. laughing wouldn't have been appropriate.
Well, most obese people tend to be really, really sensitive about their weight. Injuries will heal, but that kind of damage to your self esteem....not so sure it will.
Pretty embarassing but as mentioned above, atleast no one got hurt. Notice I said no one not nothing =[ Tragic.
Oh right, to an extent emotionally scarring can be much deeper than physical sad but true. Atleast it was a one time event of embarrassment ... if it was reoccurring, that'd be a different (worse) story.
Yikes I should have mentioned: serious injuries like broken bones or even death. Yes, that would be painful.
