One 2006 study of children age 3-10 in India reported 93% of children co-sleeping http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Co-sleeping
I can understand if it's a cultural thing - or if it's a small house with only one room. That bed might be the only bed. But for the most part, I don't think a young adult should be sleeping with their parents often. 1) Because the parents need time for themselves 2) Because the kid needs to learn to sleep on their own. Your parents won't be around forever, and you might not always have a bf/gf/spouse/friend/whoever to sleep with you. Ya need to learn to sleep on your own and be independent so you can move out on your own and not have to depend on others constantly.
I'm sure that it's a cultural thing...and so is acceptable. But no I haven't slept with my parents since I was a baby This reminded me of a joke. Johnny walks into his parents bedroom and sees his dad giving his mum one. His dad just laughs, throws a pillow at him and shouts "get out"! A little while later, Johnny's dad hears a commotion coming from Johnny's room. He rushes in and is horrified to see Johnny shagging his gran - Johnny just looks at him and says " not so fxxking funny when it's your mum is it?"
You need to give your parents some free bed time for them selves. Do you have any younger siblings? I guess not.
anyone here still sleeps with parent? i am 17 and i am still sleep with my mom and dad on the same bed? just wondering if anyone else still does this? NO DEAR, YOU ARE LUCKY STILL SLEEPS WITH PARENT'S. I HAVE NO PARENTS, THEY PASSED AWAY WHEN I WAS ONLY 13.
don't worry, i still slip with my parents. and i'm turning 22 already! i have my own room but sometimes i prefer to sleep with them.. to have some bonding moments.
I dont live with my parents, but if i go past and spend the night I usually kick my dad out of his bed and sleep next to my mum. But that's ok, he gets the excuse to stay up watch sports and crash on the lounge
Wow, you give great respect to others, This post of yours is the most stupid post of the year Society accepts male sleeping with male , female sleeping with a female, (with different intentions) But whatz wrong in son sleeping with parents?., IMO, until 10 to 12 Max, parents should never let their child sleep alone., after that they must make them to sleep alone
wow wow wow.. It is about cultures as someone said... And in some countries, it is about space. There are many people living in single room apartment with a whole family. It is just the way it is. I have seen 10 people sleeping in a single room, called Chawl in Mumbai. You need to have an etra room to sleep alone.. So lets not laugh or mock at what people do for the lack of choice too. And, I am all for humor, but comments like are in bad taste. I stay in a 3 room Apt alone, in a big city, but when My parents visit, we all sleep in the same room together, because we get to meet only twice or thrice each year, and we want to spend all the available time together.. I am 25 + ... People from the west might find this weird, but this is a very common thing in India where there is the concept of Joint Family where the extended family live togetehr
