If domains have dropped pr then an update is happening ... its just not the same as some webmasters have become used to?

it is PR 6 in all datacenters, when PR update is happening, some DC's will show different PR.

Where's the logic in that? If it's already 6 on all DCs, doesn't it just mean the update has happened for that domain already.

    Agree... PR's isn't that important.

What about Yahoo! and MSN Live? What shall they do about that PR while Google owns it? :D

johnchow.com used to be PR6 and now he is PR5 (noticed the change this morning). Still not bad for someone who is at war with Google :D

ohhh...at least some news..good or bad..comes as a good break from no news!

Wish someone from Google came forward to tell us if its ditching pagerank or not...so strategies change accordingly!

Incorrect. That is a falsehood that is spread on this forum by posters who do not research what Google itself has clearly stated about the PR-SERPs link — "Pages that Google believes are important pages receive a higher PageRank and are more likely to appear at the top of the search results." (http://www.google.com/corporate/tech.html) ©2007 Google.

It is mind-boggling  to me that professional webmasters can overlook this and even deny it.

totally agree jim, it's funny to hear webmasters say that pr has nothing to do with serp rankings. For all those who believe this let me ask you this.

If I told you I had a PR 10 but I couldn't get it to rank for any terms, not even easy ones, would anyone believe me? Of course not, because deep down even those who say that they're not related know that they are.
