I have recently gone from 100 on google for most keywords to
    5 + 6 and 10 + 11
My hits and traffic have not gone up a bean!
    Hence starting the thread.

Interestingly, I was #1 for quite awhile, fell to #2 and sales went up! I theorized that the new #1 had an inferior product/page. So once clickers got to mine they purchased. But when I was #1, they wanted to see one more site to shop around a little.

Thought about trying to manipulate a poor site as #1 and my "great site" as #2, but who is that good?

I think it still depend on the landing page of the site because some would visit either the first or the rest of the pages if some of the pages are designed beautifully.
