Yeah, in managed dedicated hosting you will get a control panel depending on the plan you choose ( linux/windows) for Linux : cPanel and for Windows : Plesk using which you can manage you site easily.
Under managed hosting your host will help you in installation, upgradation and server side problems if you are not much technically sound.

You will have to pay certain amount for using control panel in addition to hosting charge. I think Plesk for single domain is free;)

yep, around that. You can check managemybox.com for more info (the price there exclude cpanel)

For me, i am on the 104$ per month inclusive of cpanel.

Actually, dedicated is good for you too if you have many sites coz that way you can just move everything to that dedicated and hence u dont have to pay any more of those monthy hosting fee to share hosting.

that's right. by the way, i'm not in support the idea of just getting for single domain as for dedicated server, most likely you can always host several hundred of sites.

OF COURSE if your site is of youtube size, then may be single domain license is not a bad idea :)

hey, Harry, can you help answer the moving host problem i have? (it's inside one of the site & server Administration section too.

    hey toby,

I have posted my opinion regarding your server migration issue.
For transfer of such huge data rsync would be the best option. :)

    www.modvps.com

Fully managed VPS for 45$/month with 512MB RAM

should you have any problem you open a ticket (just like shared shoting) and get things done.
