Just wondering if anyone has heard of or has any opinions about SiteRubix? I know it hasn't launched yet, but is this going to be a good tool to build websites.
I think Site Rubix is going to be awesome. It uses a drag and drop interface, and will make web design a whole lot easier for those of use who have struggled building websites. I know that there are a couple of people in this forum who are bashing it despite the fact that it hasn't been launched, but I have complete confidence in Carson and Kyle. Part of the reason Site Rubix was developed is because so many people who are new to internet marketing have trouble building websites - Site Rubix was designed with these people in mind. I'm really excited about Site Rubix, because I know it is going to help me do things that I haven't been able to do, and I think it will help me take my web design skills to a new level.
Unfortunately, Site Rubix is not free. Check back, however, on October 9th - we'll know the pricing info then.
I just posted a video with an INSIDE look into SiteRubix http://cheftomcooks.com/siterubix/ ask me how you can get site rubix for FREE!
Hopefully there's a "trial" version like everyone else has. Doesn't dreambeaver have that too? From all the gushing you hear on this forum, it's like DW does everything for you but the pointing and the clicking.
Yay. Biased review from one of the Site Rubix team members. We're bashing it because we already know what programs like this spit out, dogshit code.
I hope that you know that by having an affilate link to the program's web site pretty much removes all credibility in your post. It also doesnt help that the other link is to the company that owns the product. WYSIWYG editors put out bad code, if you can create one that doesn't I really want to see it. Seeing that this will NEVER happen I dont expect to hear much. If you want to do web design I suggest reading some tutorials on xHTML and CSS or talk to a professional for your work. These programs arent worth the effort to even try. I would rather see someone use MS Word to output the HTML than to buy a program of this sort. The code is just as good and most people already have it. *shivers*
Well...I've tried Site Rubix out and it works great. I'd definately recommend it for people who have struggled with web design in the past. Those who are bashing it haven't tried it and don't know how easy it is to use. It turns out that it didn't cost me anything to use the software - its free to all Wealthy Affiliate members.
Which costs $30/mo to be one, therin it's not free. Of course, is that 'wealthyaffiliatereview.net' done in it? If so I stand by my original statement in the OTHER thread... I particularly enjoy the triple carriage returns and lack of semantic markup. SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM ... and I really feel bad for ANYONE duped into using it. If that's not done in it, could we get a url to a page that is?
How do you know something is a scam if you haven't even tried it? In the Wealthy Affiliate forum, there is actually one thread with 98 responses, and just about every single person who made a response in the forum thread said "thank you". I should point out that when people think something is a scam, they usually don't say thank you...
Like its hard to post fake entries in your own forum. Its just a good ol' fashioned pyramid scheme. They've been going on for many years now and the internet has just made it easier to reach a broader group of targets.
You mean the forums you also have to pay to join? Therin someone who doesn't think that spending half the cost of a co-lo is worth it has to take them at their word - which when it comes to testimonials anyone who's ever watched late-night TV can smell the scam from orbit? When the same language and testimonial style as an informercial is used, with web designs that scream fly-by-night, code that makes pre-CSS 1997 style look good, talking about free then pulling the bait and switch for some crap $30/mo membership to something that REEKS of get rich quick nonsense, and then not even posting an example url of a site designed in it leaving the people that actually KNOW something about web design guessing... What are we supposed to think. I swear, from what I've seen it makes some of the posters in the SEO forum look outright respectable.
Wealthy Affiliate is not a pyramid scheme. It is a totally different concept, as it teaches how to earn money online with affiliate programs. And the 98 entries aren't faked - these are real people who are greatful they have an easy to use web design tool. I don't know what your skill level with web design is, but when you are a newbie just starting out, it can be extremely difficult, and I know that cause I've been there.
The code that this program spits out (looking at the homepage) is disgusting compared to a novice who's just quitting tables and is entering standards based modern table-less layout design.
First of all, I think it would be nice to at least listen to a few of us who have actually used the software. I've used free WYSIWYG software like NVU, and I can tell you that Site Rubix is a lot easier to use. I've also tried the free trial of Dreamweaver, and was totally lost - Dreamweaver is an awesome web design tool, but when you are a total newbie it can be very overwhelming. You don't have to pay to join the forums - its all part of your Wealthy Affiliate membership, which even includes web hosting, internet marketing tools & tutorials, and now web design software. Wealthy Affiliate isn't a "get rich quick" scam either - read the Wealthy Affiliate sales page - it flat out says: "Making money on the Internet is not a get rich overnight scheme. If it was easy, everyone would be doing it, making millions of dollars a year and doing it from the comfort of their own home. If you are not willing to put in the time to learn the proper Internet Marketing techniques please leave the site now as THIS IS NOT A SCAM to make a quick buck." None of the testimonials are "faked" like in the late night infomercials. These are real testimonies from real people - I've got a screenshot on my website from the WA forum of just a handful of the WA success stories - this stuff is not made up. I'm not sure if you know about Travis Sago, who is one of the most respected internet marketers in the world, and owner of http://www.bummarketingmethod.com. Travis endorses Wealthy Affiliate, and I can guarantee you that this guy is not a scammer. By the way, you can watch his video here, and you can decide if Wealthy Affiliate is still a scam after you have had a peak inside - at least that way you will have somewhat of an informed opinion: http://www.bummarketingmethod.com/WealthyAffiliateVideos You are right about the bait and switch part. Existing Wealthy Affiliate were not initially aware Site Rubix was going to be free to them. That is why you had so many thank you's - WA members were more than willing to shell out money for Site Rubix, but when they discovered it was free, it simply enhanced the value of their Wealthy Affiliate membership - which was already valuable long before Site Rubix was launched.
Which costs $30 for what exactly - I couldn't even figure out what it gets you that you can't get elsewhere for free from the uber boat load of marketspeak and buzzwords. I love this "Oh, it's free... if you pay to be a member" bullshit. FINE, give me a url to a site designed IN IT - I'm only guessing at the moment based on the crap code of all the sites linked to or in people's sigs for now. Proof is in the pudding, and I'm not shelling out $30 to what LOOKS like an obvious scam and don't suggest anyone else does either. At the VERY LEAST let's see an 'example page' done in this program. Which costs $30 - Do you even THINK before opening your mouth? You do realize that 'internet marketer' automatically by definition means scam artist, right? "Passive revenue stream" = advertising whore and the EXACT SAME TYPE OF BULLSHIT that led to the original dotcom burst. Have we learned nothing these past 7 years since then? Oh wait, of course not... Sorry, but the whole thing reads and sounds like a usenet scam from a decade ago. ...and until I see the code output by it as well as a page rendered in it, much less some distancing from a KNOWN malware distributor (great choice there) - you can fully expect me to keep shooting it down. Of course, I love how half the sites linked to from WealthAffiliate's main page are on the block lists
People join Wealthy Affiliate because it is a good value - that's what people pay $30 a month for. After their first month, people can quit, but most of them stay on board because they know its a good value. Yes, internet marketing does have some scammers, but there are honest people who do it the right way. Before you start labling something a scam, you need to do a little research about it - at least watch the videos by Travis so you can make an informed opinion, rather than relying on your suspicions. Speaking of this, both you and I know that half the sites linking to Wealthy Affiliate aren't on the block list - you have no evidence to back up your claim - its just a wild guess and slanderous accusation on your part, which has no merit to it all and you know it. I'll have a site built with Site Rubix up in a day or two. Personally, I don't care what the code looks like - I'm more concerned about being able to put a decent looking website up without having to a night class to figure out Dream Weaver - which is the point of Site Rubix - to provide newbies with a web design tool which will help them overcome the learning curve which comes with learning how to use an HTML editor.
Deathshadow - You are being way too harsh. I havent tried Site Rubix and nor do i intend to. To be honest, i always make sure my code is neat, clean, compliant and tidy and the reason i don't even look at Site Rubix is because it does not appeal to me. Guess why? Its because Site Rubix is not designed for or aimed at people like me who can do coding. These people Getagrip refers to, do you think they give a crap as to what the code looks like, whether its tableless or not, or if it is XHTML, HTML, PHP, ASP or even W3C compliant? I think not. If it makes it easier for the market they are aiming at, then they have got a good product. Good luck guys.
