What do you think about the blog i have just made? It's basically a site to download live performances by the killers.

The Killers, now that's a good band

For the design, the theme is okay but I'm not a huge fan of the header, it just looks like a huge image rather than a header.. Try creating a header that's shorter in height with a nice blending of photographs.

 

Yeah I rushed it a bit, I might work on a better one a bit later.

 

looks interesting. I agree with '8' that the header could use some work.
Also, maybe think about making the image for each movie the link that you click to download the thing. As it is now there is the huge image, then 'download here:' (which can't be clicked), then below that is '>>>>HERE<<<<'.
I would say make it simpler.
You might also want to think about writing a bit about each video. Just give your opinion, this might encourage more comment posts.

 

Thanks for the feedback. I have added another header. I'll also get rid of the download text and make all the images hyperlinked to the download. Hopefully users will know to click the image?

Hi!!! I'm a huige Killers Fan! they rock!!!... I think you might want to move your banner more over to the left and change the background color so that your google ad matches just a few ideas... good luck

 

I don't think I can move the banner, the theme just won't let me. The background of the ad is the closest colour to choose from, so I'd have to find the html colour code of the background and enter it in manually.

 

I think the header needs work.. and the content area needs a background.... just my thoughts...

Is that possible with blogger?

 

I like how its not just Youtube videos & you can actually download the videos to your hard drive. The layout is pretty plain though. If you Google "Blogger beta templates" you can find blogger templates that actually look like Wordpress. I finally did that with my blog and it looks 10x better. The only other suggestion I have is writing about the video you're posting, such as where it was performed or an interesting fact about it.

 

Wow only a few days old and it comes up as 7th when you search "the killers live shows" on google.

Please comment on the download speeds aswell. I had one person say it took them 4 hours to download a 50mb file, perhaps they had slow internet.
