It wasn't hijacked, it's a bunch of noobs posting about shit they don't even know Oh no, I just hijacked avivadirectory: http://www.proxy.eu.com/nph-proxy.cgi/000000A/http/www.avivadirectory.com/ http://boredsurf.info/index.php?q=http://www.avivadirectory.com/ Some people on this forum are as dumb as a old pile of dog shit.
Cheers mate! The site has hijacked Aviva's content and hijacked Aviva's no.1 ranking on Google, I never said anything about a 302, look up hijack in the dictionary it means steal and the proxy site has stolen Aviva's content and Aviva's no.1 rank on Google.
I tried to submit to prove that the payment would go to onlinedude, but the proxy doesn't even support POST, so we will never know. Guess I was a little harsh
Ok I take back my post about being too harsh. Look, I just hijacked: Msn: http://www.proxy.eu.com/nph-proxy.cgi/000010A/http/www.msn.com/ Yahoo: http://www.proxy.eu.com/nph-proxy.cgi/000010A/http/www.yahoo.com/ Biz-Dir: http://www.proxy.eu.com/nph-proxy.cgi/000010A/http/www.biz-dir.co.uk/ and for fun: http://www.proxy.eu.com/nph-proxy.c...ges?hl=en&q=dog+shit&btnG=Search+Images&gbv=2 I can hijack whatever I want, the fact that Google ranks them isn't hijacking. What a useless thread
Proxy hijackings are well documented across the internet: http://www.seroundtable.com/archives/014004.html http://www.webmasterworld.com/google/3378200.htm The only person who is dumb as shit around here is you.
I had someone proxying my company site a while ago. My site was 1, the proxy was 2. The thing that made me mad is that they ran adsense all around it. The proxy disappeared after about 3 weeks. It'll probably disappear in Aviva's case as it normalizes. I wonder what G will be doing. It had always proclaimed for some time now that it didn't like people paying for links and links should be more natural. I wonder what the future is for paid directories if G begins cracking down on them. High profile ones would be the first to go wouldn't they ? (as a warning to others).
In that case, http://www.google.com/search?aq=t&oq=aviva+dire&hl=en&q=aviva+directory&btnG=Search http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=143502 is hijacking aviva's rankings. OMFG LOLZ DP stole aviva's ranking, grow up and realize you didn't know what were talking about form the beginning and now you are trying to save ass and look smart.
Read the article I have pointed to on the Search Engine Roundtable, they do not publish rubbish, the digital point thread has not taken Aviva's content hence it is not a hijack.
No, it isn't. The thread is about Aviva while the url on top is publishing Aviva's content on it's own site.
I am sick of this midslinging, but you first say that a site using a sites content is hijacking. So any proxy site is hijacking every website on the web (so why make a thread?) then you say that a site that takes another sites ranking is hijacking (Well in that case, every penalized directory was hijacked, and that DP thread hijacked also) then you say both of them. Which is it? BTW why even make this post? Nobody cares about aviva, it's as if it is some idol fo you, why don't you sell everything you have and buy aviva.
http://www.proxy.eu.com/nph-proxy.cgi/000010A/http/www.avivadirectory.com/ Oops, I hijacked aviva again
I would class that as an attempted hijack, the owner of the proxy or someone else possibly has obviously gone out of their way to make it rank no.1, it is a fairly competitive phrase, you wouldn't get a no.1 rank from a couple of dp links, that is for sure, even with a lot of authority on the domain.
Yahoo site explorer is showing no results for the page, and from http://www.google.com/search?source...ate/www.avivadirectory.com&btnG=Google+Search I don't know how much effort he has done (maybe none?)
The page must have links to be indexed by Google and ranking that well, Yahoo! may not be able to track the URL properly or they might not be showing up yet.
