Hey, I have a website the domain of which is www.blisswebdesigns.co.uk Basically what I want is to have exactally the same site, or close to it, coded in a more cleaner CSS format. Since the site has already been created, the ideas are already there. I want nothing changed, unless it has to be changed. 1. Is this possible? 2. Can you do it? Please PM me with details and your pricing offers. Thank you, Brett. NOTE TO ADMIN: I would of rather put this in the market place, under the appropriate section however the forum would not allow me to do so.
I'll assume you are a web design and that is your website right. Why don't you try and do this yourself and learn css as you go? Make a copy of the site in a new folder and practice changing the current site into a more compact css based site. I'm sure you are going to learn more doing it this way than having someone do it for you. As for the questions you asked. Yes it is possible to do it and it looks simple to do too. For price I'll PM you. Just as a side note check the first page title - You have a meta tag or two mixed in with it. The meta tags need to be removed from you title tag.
I do oft find it suspect when a web design site advertises for help redoing their design. Doesn't exactly inspire confidence. That said I could do it - but as a warning I'm not cheap... and from the looks of it we're talking a total rewrite throwing away EVERYTHING that's there already for HTML. Of course, at 800k it's agonizing to load, so some image optimization time should be spent. Give me 24 hours and I'll PM a quote.
So is this a thread for looking to hire or did you actually want some advice and the best way to go about coding it? I can help if you need me to, no charge.
I've just noticed its all been fixed and changed into a css based design. Brett - Do us all a favor in the future (an for others too), please post back to the thread you started and tell us all it has been done and your problem is fixed. Little rant over.
Just like Richard Branson is a 747 pilot and a train driver and a gym instructor and a musician and a television expert right???
fair enough friend, I was a little hasty in my judgement I fear. If you still need this doing I'll be happy to just give me a PM.
I heard good things about this forum. I did not expect to be greeted with such rudeness and bad manners.
Don't get me wrong, it is good that you are trying to learn. But that is like if I started a Golf website and then asked "what is a 7 iron". You gotta learn the area and the tools of the trade before you get into it full force. You don't jump into the deep end if you can't swim.
Well... I am an excellent graphic designer. I know my way around XHTML very well. I am ok in most areas so I thought I'm not going to let my lack of knowledge in CSS stop me. I would rather seek help from outside at first. Which is not bad for anyone, if I pay you to do me some CSS coding will you be complaining?
