A new tool is coming out, ideal for people looking to design professional looking websites within minutes, requires no HTML experience whatsoever: Site Rubix Quoted from wealthyaffiliate: "Kyle and I took a always like to take a step back from WealthyAffiliate.com and process the information that we get from members and from people on the Internet in general. Last year we quickly came to the conclusion that there is a HUGE gap in a huge fundamental of Internet marketing... Websites. We all know that it you don't need a website to make money online because direct linking is still very "Alive" and is earning many people tons of cash, however, having your own website is a huge asset in the world of Internet marketing. Most non web developers cringe at the thought of building a website because without any training it can be quite a job to get your site looking just right, let alone optimized. So, we took on the MASSIVE job of putting together our DREAM website creator... Site Rubix. The system is really awesome and we've been using it throughout development. If you've got a few paragraphs of content written before hand, you can literally piece your website together in a few minutes - and that's no exaggeration. Drag & Drop Cloning Template Flipping Built in FTP Auto Image Sizing Instant Screen Shots Media Management One Click Uploading Site Exporting Duplicating entire Sites and Pages The list goes on.. There were two VERY important aspects of the system that needed to be accomplished in order to make this a system that EVERYONE would want to use. 1 - Make it absolutely SIMPLE to create a full website Quickly and Easily 2 - Make it impossible to make a poor looking site With Site Rubix we've accomplished these in a BIG WAY! On October 9th, you'll see how easy building a fully optimized and professional website can be! We want everyone that uses Site Rubix to be able to maximize online profits by creating fully optimized sites that take only a fraction of time to create. Carson" Site Rubix
Too bad professional looking does not equal professional quality... because if that first page is made using the program in question then it does NOT inspire confidence. Nested tables for single columns or even single elements, wasted classnames on elements that are all the same, inlined presentation, broken layout on large fonts in both Opera and IE, gibberish comments next to well known elements that don't NEED comments, javascript for css, 91k of images for what shouldn't even be taking a third that, and a lack of anything approaching semantic markup ... As has been said about a number of sites lately there is more of 1997 to this than 2007. I feel bad for anyone duped into using this if the front page is indicative of the rest of it... I'd enter my address to find out more, but I'm not even willing to give it my throwaway since my fly-by-night scam sense is tingling.
I'm new to internet marketing and this whole html thing is a bit difficult to learn. So you say i won't have to learn html to build a great looking website? regards gravell69
There's always a catch to crap like that. I'll stick to using Notepad ++, even if I sometimes feel myself stuggling, at least I know that 2-3 years down the road I'll have built a solid foundation for myself.
Yeh, no html experience needed. To all the negative comments and the people who don't trust the guys who made this, look around the internet for reviews on wealthy-affiliate, I'm sure you won't find any negative reviews, the guys who own wealthy affiliate and site rubix are very genuine and do not produce "crap". This is a genuine piece of software that will enable you to build a professional looking website in a matter of 5 minutes with no html knowledge.
Oh, btw - I just made a NEW throwaway e-mail, and... In Opera, the form does nothing but throw a .js error In Firefox, IE and Safari I get an unable to connect error to an entirely different site. http://www.aweber.com/scripts/addlead.pl OOH LOOK!!! aweber.com is on both my blocking hosts list AND my Opera adblock.... Look, it's a website known to spread IE-Spyad as well as W32.Adclicker.F.Trojan, and is on all the major block lists. Kooality with a capital K. Sorry, my scammy sense is still tingling. If anything it just got thrown into overdrive.
Imagine being an internet marketer and you go spend money on a product that's supposed to help you build a website (or build it for you), and you make your site, and poef! your customers can't log in unless they're using some ancient version of IE... I certainly understand the plight of people who just want to say or sell something and don't have the time to learn html and css.
Of course you can always choose to pay for a professional HTML-editor, Photoshop and Snagit. Let's make the sum: $399 for Dreamweaver $649 for Photoshop $39.95 for Snagit to take screencaptures. That will be $1087.95. How do you want to pay, credit card?....OR do you want to hire a professional web designer for every marketing campaign you set. The price tag will be even higher. Be honest with me for a moment. Let's be realistic. The above applications have a learning curve and are not easy to master. If you are an experienced web designer you will not want to buy this nor will you endorse it to aspiring webmasters. But, if you are an aspiring webmaster or a internet marketer experienced or not, you will appreciate this tool. No need to be suspicious. The product has yet to be launched, but once it is you will see the reviews and I can assure you that they will be positive for ease of use and pricing. Of course there will always be pros and cons, but heck the best honest review gives a complete experience with the product. Just wait and see...
I just created a video that shows an INSIDE look into Site Rubix... http://wwwcheftomcooks.com/siterubix/
$399 for Dreamweaver $649 for Photoshop $39.95 for Snagit to take screencaptures. Ahem : ) $0 vi, gEdit, Kate, Notepad family $0 GIMP, Inkscape $0 FN+prtsc Nothing wrong with something that does something for someone who doesn't want to get their hands dirty. The problem comes when those people want to make some little change and it totally screws up and they come here and say "What's wrong with my Wordpress blog/template/MySpace page/dreamweaver built/SiteRubix page?" And everyone will try to help them but if the code is written like the site rubix page, it's really really hard. Usually also problems with accessibility too.
Or pirate all of those like many do. Programs like this will send your site back to the stone age. Support and maintenance will be a bitch. Good luck.
Which a honest review by someone knowledgeable would probably be possible if the registration for it wasn't through a known Malware website... which means the odds of anyone knowledgable registering is next to zero... So it's just set up to prey on the ignorant. I particularly love how the updated version of the site changes the terms and even meaning of what this is - as it's not a 'real' application as it made it first sound, instead it's a front end to a hosting service. Pay PARTICULAR attention to: Which is NOT free because being a member of Wealthy Affiliate costs $29.99/mo. Pre-signup through aweber.com, talking about free when you find out it actually costs $30/mo, the entire thing is most likely a link-whore scam, e-mail phishing scheme, and possibly even CC fraud. Needless to say I've notified Paypal of possible abuse.
I don't think it is a scam, but how stupid could they get...sharing it to the minority of people who have Wealthy Afiilieaate. I have always wanted to see what it was like, and I would pay for it, but not with an affiliate program. I'll stick to Notepad++ now. BP
It definitely isn't a scam. I am a member of WA. I will agree...this is NOT the best solution for everyone. This is a great service for someone who is looking to get started in the Internet Marketing or Work From Home business. Wealthy Affiliate for a small monthly fee gives you all the tools and support you will need to get your first sites/campaigns off the ground. And don't forget...you can cancel at ANY time.
One thing people are forgetting here is that Wealthy Affiliate does teach people how to earn money online - and contrary to popular opinion, there are honest affiliate marketers out there who do care about their customers. If you play your cards right, Site Rubix will pay for itself within a couple of months.
Hello I am quite a newbie in affiliate marketing. I don't know nothing of HTML so I just have to use Site Rubix + free webhosting and Carson (he runs Wealthy Affiliate) answers all the questions I have about my campaigns. It is not free, it cost $ 30 a month. But to me is cool because I get everything I need in a whole package so I don't have to buy any other tool and after some sales I didn't have to worry about the membership anymore. Again I don't have lots of knowledge about webdesign so there might be better software. I am a newbie and Site Rubix works for me and I make sales with my websites, and that is what matters to me. I hope this newbie honest opinion helps.
