Need a LOGO for my blog (Ready to Pay $5)

    Thanks for that.... Well I have gone thru some of the thread to see what others are paying for logos and i find that $5 is the standard... But I have already said to some of the users that am ready to pay even more if the logo is good.

    Yes absolutely.... thats why I choose a plain text for my logo and gave guidelines according to that.... :D Checkout my current logo http://www.minterest.com/

    I would assume he used a 1px stroke that was the same colour as the background, and then perhaps adjusted the kerning so that the letters overlapped slightly. Well, that's how I would do it anyway :)

    I beg to differ. You will also find that certain other extremely successful companies happen to use just a mark. To say that plain text logos are more professional is complete tosh. It all boils down to implementation. A crap font isn't going to make a good brandable logotype; but having said that neither is a crap mark.

    Just look at Microsofts LOGO.... I love it but stilll its simple with no mark or image....

    Oh yeah, I forgot about stroke. :rolleyes: Although I was hoping to not have to create the letters seperately to acheive the result. :p

    Good point, the first logo that popped into my head was FedEx and Amazon.com.
