what is e-gold? Is it safe?

hi all,

i want to know about egold and the website address too. Is is e-gold.com or egold.com or...???

is it safe? and how do i get egold? do you have to upload funds from your bank acount? i have paypal but need egold to pay seller. Only accepts egold i think.

is there any way to get scammed using this instead of paypal?

i know lots of questions but, where else can i get true answers, than on dp !!

It was safe, but the owners were sued by the US Government lately, so it not sure that e-gold will still exist in the future.
You buy/sell e-gold to/from trusted e-money exchange websites and from trusted members on DP.
The risk of being scammed is 0% if you learn the basic rules (for example: never go to untrusted sites, never sell e-gold for paypal...)

Read some e-gold <=> paypal exchange threads and you will learn a lot of things

EGOLD is the safest thing for sellers. Paypal is the safest for buyers.

Its an virtual payment application like Paypal, but its backed by GOLD. This is why you can only buy/sell E-gold through brokers, as they buy/sell gold on your behalf.

Make sure you use a trusted and well known broker though.

Well, its a great service. Just make sure you trade with someone trusted, because once you give money, you can't get it back like paypal.

 

e-gold has been around for a while. There's no buyer or seller protection though

 

that sucks...

so whats a guy to do when the only payment choice is egold...

Always Trade with trusted people or purchase from trusted & Legit sites and you will never get scammed.

Egold is one of the best payment processor, the only drawback is that it can't be funded directly with bank account or credit card and you've to go with third party exchangers which makes it pretty much untrusted and reliable but it is good and been around for 10+ years now.I'd say give it a try but be careful or else you will end up losing enough money

 

Egold is very safe and they have been around for a long time now and has survived investigations and allegations.

 

I've been using e-gold.com for over a year but I heard some people talk about it being unsafe and may close anytime. I'm still using it and i don't think it will close sooner. Still, nothing is really confirmed

 

E-gold is pretty much an alternative to Paypal. It's not used that often but it is used. I'm not sure it's sfe, perhaps that's why it's not used to often.

You can exchange with people on DP (but be very careful, lots of scammers out there) also you can check their main site for a list of exchangers. I'm not sure how much they charge and how long they take to fund your account but they are official exchangers of Egold so they must be good (do your reasearch before using any of them)
