US DOLLAR DOWN affects adsense earnings

Discussion in 'AdSense' started by panob, Sep 29, 2007.

I live in Europe... This affects my adsense earnings significantly when it converts it to Euros. Example, an earning of US$1,000 per month will equal to 700 EURO.

If you earn US$6000 per month, this will now be 4203 EURO.

    1 EURO = US$1,4

Do you experience the same currency problems where you live? Please share.

The value of a country's dollar on the "world stage" is basically a reflection of the CONFIDENCE (or lack of) the rest of the world has in that country's current and near future economic conditions.

The US economy has a few serious problems right now...
    1) How are they going to pay for their military "initiatives" around the globe?
    2) Major credit/mortgage "crunch" (loan defaults, extended personal credit etc.)
    3) Investors are finding better places to invest their money (so, with all that money LEAVING the US, the rest of the world's CONFIDENCE in the US economy continues to decline).
    4) Most economies are cyclical in nature, these types of things are bound to happen from time to time, no matter how well thought out the fiscal and monetary policies of that country are.

    Just my 2 cents ;)

BTW: The value of the US dollar is k*lling me too. (I'm Canadian. Our dollar is currently worth more than the US dollar).

hmm I spend all my USD when I get it. All I use it for is doing business (buying/selling stuff) I've been using gold/silver for the last 10 years or so. Very happy with it too ^_^. I strongly encourage everyone to get rid of their currency and move over to real money, gold/silver.

On the other hand, imports from the United States are a little cheaper. Buy more from the USA and the value of the dollar will rise.

You're talking as if you think the $ will recover? :D

Strange how Europe's adwords seem to get more expensive even though the $ is dropping. Some kind of weird "Rip off the Brits" thing happening there! :p

Here in some of the growing countries like India, their currency is going more strength.
So before 1 year $1= more than INR 48
Now its $1=less than INR 39
I think its the common problem in many of the countries.

    Hi Priya,
The USD is down against many currencies becoz of economic crisis in US markets..

Lot of export oriented business (mainly IT sector) in India is badly affected by the STRONG INDIAN RUPEE.. Import businesses (mainly Crude OIL) are getting profitted by the rise in RUPEE against dollar..

    Hope this info helps..

    Regards,

Regional sites are less affected. Many of them display ads by local advertisers and these advertisers bid in regional currencies. Thus their bids are independent of the dollar rate.

e.g. I have an investing site focusing on India. Most of the ads shown are by Indian advertisers. These advertisers bid in INR and compete with each other. Their bids in INR remain constant.
