Can you give examples of blogs that are successful and not niches

All the examples I've seen from here are very narrowly focused in on a subject. I was wondering if there are any popular/successful blogs out there where the person talks about whatever they feel like.

It's difficult to start a blog that talks about many different topic since you can easily lose the interest of audiences. If you are focusing on one niche you have higher chances of return visitors..

Entourage recommended probably the two of the most successful blogs out there. Honestly, I do not know why they are successful. I find myself going to their site just to see whats on them though. :D

They are related to making money online which is a cramped market right now.

hi entourage......aren't those sites targetted specifically about making money online? I didn't go through their entire sites but just reading a half dozen of their postss it looks like they're all about 1 topic.

Exactly.. it is easier to market your site to group of audiences who are interested in what you are writing about than writing about general info..

    lifehacker.com browse there.. good luck

I agree. But that's just half the equation. Not only should your blog be laser specific re your range of topics, your marketing should be specific as well. Normally, if you match a highly targeted content base with a highly targeted audience base (plus a high paying sponsor/PPC advertiser base) you've got yourself a winner.
