I was parked right across the street from the coffee shop on chauncey hill in the chauncey hill parking lot. There is no sign saying you can't park there and go to the coffee shop... and the tow truck driver took a sick pleasure in it. I called the property manager and she was a bitch about it. Nothing I can do but suck it up and write a letter to the editor... oh yeah and pay the $140 to tow it out. It has to be in cash. I have 30 days to pay it. I just paid all the bills today except next month's rent at which I'll have $40 left. $100 spare dollars to go. This sucks, not to mention that I missed work today because of it.
No, they disagree about the sign. I got it back this morning. By the time I got to the place last night they were closed so I got to pay an extra $20 for the extra day. Now my car has a big orange sticker on it that says "Illegally parked." It's an actual sticker, not a decal and I can't get it off. I peeled some of it off and markered over a good portion of it.. I just don't want it towed again.
I seen something like this on the news a few months back, cnn or something like that. They had a undercover report on this. Wonder if this is the same tow company?
$140? You got off easy. cost me $300 cash the first and last time I got towed (both the same instance)
Damn here in my country, the worst thing that could ever happen to you is your car getting towed. The towing trucks are very old, and can destory the car.
