Have a go at using yahoo.com or .co.uk for UK visitors.

Compare your results to google, as of late I am not getting satisfied results from Google and for some listings I reckon something is going on.

I spent hours on Google and when I went to Yahoo it took 5 minutes. This has happened 3 times so far...

You reckon that all there is to it?

I wanted some clothes and the same lists came up again and again, I searched Yahoo and I almost fainted there was that much variety that Google made me think did not exist.

Then I was looking for directories and Google was giving poor results and Yahoo amazing ones.

How about using Microsoft's Live search? I have only used it from time to time when I was using IE7, but their results were not that great. What do others think?

I did not like it, probably because microsoft collect to much data on me and they also seem to always generate errors for me.

They base their rankings off diffrent things. I do notice that yahoo gives better results when I am searching for something. But I know others use google, so I try to rank high in google rather than yahoo.

Used to happen to me 3-4 years ago. I hated google and couldnt understand why it was increasing in popularity by the day.

Btw I just found 2 PR6 .edu blogs/websites with comments enabled without noffolow on google today, so no qualms there :D:D

Quite a bit of my traffic is coming from Yahoo!

Plus Yahoo seem more upto date with backlinks and site stuff. All they need to do now is offer a "page rank" alternative and they'll become my friend.
