    Hello,

Does anybody knows Branch code for State Bank of Saurashtra. I think the branch code differs for each city ? I enquired at the Bank, it didn't make any sense to them... they were give some BIC code.. Is that code ??? Neither they have mentioned in their website...

Please help if somebody already knows the code....

    Thanks

BIC Code is Bank Identifier Code or the SWIFT Code.

Yes, each branch will have a different branch code. If they have a website, email the head office and tell them which branch you have your account in and ask for the branch code. It may appear in your bank book or even part of your account number, it is hard to say.

The first part of bank account number is usually the branch code (at least in my country). For example my bank account number is 1077-238732-328-32-2 (Imaginary numbers) then 1077 will be the branch code. Best option would be to consult the customer service of your bank.

Yep quite right but there still are banks which have not updated their account number sequences yet so their account don't come with a branch code at the start of account number. You've to ask bank people about that.

If you don't want to get any delays in your Payment better ask your bank.
