Cpxinteractive is a moderately great ad network for both advertisers and publishers. What I mean by moderately is that its not the best but it is great if you can't get into the other cpm networks. I think its still hard to get in, but not as hard as fastclick, burstmedia, and etc. They pay me around .50 cents per cpm. So Im making around 20 dollars a day from these guys. I do not know if they accept subdomains, but you can always try and submit and see if they accept. Also, their control panel is a little confusing at first, but you will get used to it.
i got accepted by cpx, but once i read about the low payouts on the forums, i didn't bother putting up any ads.
Cpx uses Yield manager. Which means, if you have high conversions you were earn a high ecpm. If you have low conversions then you will earn next to nothing. It is as simple as that. I no longer use them therefore I do not think it would be fair for me to comment on how they perform.
cpx is cpm banner advertising, not cpc ads... if you want conversions for sales, use cpc. banners are used primarily for branding, so calling it "conversions" sounds to me like a scam designed to screw publishers... cpx isn't the only ad network that does that, tho.
Actually you are mistaken. Most yield manager (and other networks for that matter) use the ecpm model for the publisher to calculate an estimated cpm on every 1000 impressions. Do a search on the forum, and you'll see this happens all around. Even brand marketers now want conversions. Zero conversions = zero advertisers. It is just how the system works now.
i'm not denying that cpm ad networks are using conversion data. what i am telling you is that cpm banner ads are NOT a conversion-based advertising method... look at all the cpm advertising that has no reliable conversion data: billboards, newspapers, tv ads, etc. that is why cpm advertising has always been for branding, period. this recent trend by cpx and others is a scam that is designed to give advertisers the cheapest ads possible, at the expense of publishers. people like you who support that crap are hurting yourselves in the long run... when i see publishers on the cpx forum complaining about getting $.25 or less ecpm, there is no doubt that the advertisers are making out big time... especially when you figure that cpx ad rates are based on advertisers competing with each other.
Yes, in that point I definately agree. However, all the yield manager networks do it. I seem the same ads on Valueclick, so they seem to do it too. There is so much inventory and since the .com fall out, advertisers had more control in price than the networks. Google has smart pricing. Yahoo has smart ads. I guess everyone it turning to becoming smartified. Hehe. This is why I am trying other things for ad income. Such as video, static links (encoded of course), and the in line stuff. Pops are done with. One I cannot stand them myself. Two they are mostly blocked off too. Whats the point.
even google has the fart button ads these days, lol... now that they are doing cpm, it's can only result in lower payouts from the banner networks like cpx. i think your idea to diversify is good.
